Saying Goodbye to Pfunk: A Heartfelt Farewell

Dear TOB Community,

It is with a heavy heart and a deep sadness that I share the news of the passing of a beloved member of this community, known to many of you as Pfunk. For those who knew him, he was more than just a member; he was a pioneer, a gentleman, and a friend to many.

Pfunk was an integral part of TOB, especially during its formative years. His kindness and respect towards the women he met here set a standard for others to follow. Beyond that, he was incredibly fun, always bringing laughter and joy to those around him. He had a way of making everyone feel valued and respected, and his presence was a source of warmth and positivity in this space.

I had the privilege of knowing him beyond this community, first as a client and then as a partner. We spent ten wonderful years together, and I can attest to the genuine and caring person he was, both online and in real life.

As I return to TOB after a long absence, it feels only right to honor his memory by sharing the impact he had on our lives. I genuinely wish I didn't have to make this post under such circumstances, but it’s important to celebrate the life of someone who brought so much joy to others.

Pfunk may no longer be with us, but his legacy of kindness, respect, and fun will continue to inspire us all.

Thank you for being a part of a community that meant so much to him.

Very sorry to hear this news. He was a one of a kind around here, a kind we always need more of and one of the most respected members ever, with good reason.  I never met him in person but from many board interactions he felt like a friend. That is rare.

Wow. I'm so sorry to hear this. I never met him, but we committed a number of times and he was always a gentleman. A great loss of one of the true pillars of this board. My condolences to you Destiny.

My heart is broken. Thank you for letting us know @Destiny (sorry can’t get your name to highlight). You did meet him he came to one of the parties @ilovewomen. Unless you missed one ofParties? He was a very sweet and kind man! RIP @pfunk He was in here most of the time; I was also in the evenings (on TOB). When he came and saw me, he forgot the donation and drove back to his home. He came back to me, and we I still had a great time. I don’t know why  can’t  highlight your name it must be the retrograde (the  planet mercury); I wish you and your family love and support! I am sending Reiki.

R.I.P. to Mr. P as in Funk. When I first joined TOB I immediately noticed his name. WHY LOL because I am a HUGE FAN of The George Clinton/Parliament/Funkadelics/P Funk All Stars baby............................ I never got to meet the guy but his name touched me every single time I saw it. I would always start singing these songs and lets just say, he put me in a great mood every single time that I saw his name in the discussion board or from a freshly new review. Funk on Mr P as in Funk.................

So sorry to hear this! I had SO much respect for him. He was a very kind and forward thinking member. I always looked forward to his "take" on many things here.

WOW !!  I am gobsmacked hearing about Pfunk.  I don't have the words to express my sad feelings at the moment.  He was always helpful and kind in my interactions with him.  A lot of us will miss his presence in our community.

So sad to hear this.  When I started in this crazy little world, (to me) @Bit Banger and he were the Gold Standard of how gents should conduct themselves.  I chatted with him several times at PP parties and for some reason, he took a liking to me.  He was/is a class act in and out of the hobby, and will truly be missed.  So sorry to hear this Destiny.
