Posted November 7 How come Signal app for communication both text and talk isn’t common round these parts? Genuine question, TIA.
Posted November 9 I think the big reason is having to explain to people what signal is, why to use it, how to install it, etc. I mean, it's a fantastic tool for how we all should communicate with disappearing messages and all, but anything new like that which has to be explained can really slow down the business.

Signal is easier than WhatsApp, yes? For me, it’s the best app.
Posted November 29 If you're a WhatsApp user, please watch the documentary "Surveilled" on MAX. WhatsApp was completely compromised by the Israeli hackware Pegasus, then was sold it to everyone who can afford it. Signal user for over a year, with no known breaches.
Posted November 29 I would LOVE to have all my work conversations moved to signal, but the reality is a lot of guys simply won't do it. Not to mention ad sites don't have a section to list "signal", just phone number. So I'd have to maintain a phone number anyways and then shuttle guys over to signal. Seems like too much of a headache right now for me personally.
Posted Monday at 6:18 PM (edited) I didn't know it was a thing. Until now. Thanks for plugging for privacy. Edited Monday at 6:19 PM by I Dream of Pussy

And I would NEVER allow any such app to pull from contacts to FAFO. Ever. Edited Wednesday at 8:56 PM by I Dream of Pussy
Posted Thursday at 1:22 PM I use WhatsApp and Signal for international calling in my real life job. The concerning bit on setup with Signal was that it immediately notified me of my Contacts that also use Signal. I would not use it for "Melinda'ing" unless i had a whole separate device (and i do not do a "Melinda phone" for discretion and peace in any of my business so it just doesn't work nor make sense for me)

You can also choose to keep your number private from other Signal users - you have to send them your screen handle, which you can customize (not your RW name). I had to tinker a bit with Signal before I found these options. Cool app, definitely places security first, unlike the commercial competitors....
Posted 21 hours ago Problem is too many apps / options. I joined KIK a while back and it was great, but as time flys things change. As far as security goes your info is out there and that’s the way it works.
Posted 17 hours ago I mean, I love signal. It's my favorite for posting the dankest, darkest memes with my meme buds. It's been solid and reliable. In a perfect world it'd be great for our communications in this realm, but then I'm also sure it would be outlawed because that's what they do.
Posted 2 hours ago Haven't had any issues using it to communicate with ladies so far. The issue is convenience (Google Voice, WhatsApp, etc.,) versus privacy. Most of my out of country contacts use only Signal, because they want to keep their business their business. Most of the responses I get from them are, "Wow! I wish I knew about this a long time ago! Now I can stop using (fill in the blank)!" You can have messages auto delete after a certain amount of time, you can delete messages off your device and the recipient's device (time limited), and you can delete incoming and outgoing messages off your device (and Signal's servers) long after you've sent it or received them.
