Posted June 28 I'm just curious from other ladies' perspectives here. I recently dyed my hair black from blonde and I've definitely noticed a change in my clientele. Most actually really seemed to prefer the blonde and I am saddened by this because the black hair looks really, really good on me. I had black hair back when I was a provider in Portland, OR, but was only ever into FBSM and Nuru. Maybe clients have different preferences in that space, maybe it's just been slow for me lately, I don't know. I definitely need to do an updated photoshoot. What have you ladies experienced with this?
Posted June 28 I'm a natural dark brunette. I went blonde one time and I feel like I agree that men really like blondes because "they have more fun" 😂 jk your hair doesn't affect how fun you are. But people don't realize the up keep for blonde is almost not worth it. I'll never go blonde again in my life. I hope it picks up for you! Summers are always hit or miss... with families traveling and kids out of school sometimes seeing providers takes a back seat. I feel it's the same during the holidays

I feel it's the same during the holidays I totally agree with the upkeep! That’s part of why I went darker 😣 I’m a natural strawberry blonde. It’s light brown, but almost red - I hate it. My roots as a blonde grew out looking so weird because I always preferred a more platinum color. Oh, well - I’m happy with it and I guess that’s all that really matters. I hope you’ve been having a good summer so far!
Posted June 29 Let a guy chime in here with my $.02 worth. Frankly I don’t care if you are a red head, blonde, brunette, gray or whatever. What matters is if we have a fun time. Do what makes you happy. Period.
Posted June 29 I'm sure there are guys for whom hair color makes a difference, but I am lined up with the post above. As long as you have hair, the rest is unimportant.

Posted June 30 Was blonde for like 2 and half years, to much maintenance for one! But definitely noticed I was busier with my brunette hair anyways so I went back to my brunette!
Posted July 1 I agree with the fact that doesn’t really matter on your hair color. And yes I have always been a blonde. I was born strawberry blonde and i Ok my strawberry hair fell out of my head. What grew in was light blonde I now get highlights. I have not gone gray yet not that it is important to note. Some of my family members never go gray. Not sure if it is a Scandinavian thing?! lol I am still young! 🫣
Posted November 29 I had a long term ATF a looong time ago. When I first started seeing her, she had long, slightly curly brunette hair with dark red highlights. As things got worse for her (litigious ex, loss of professional license, potential loss of her custody over her children, etc., etc., etc.,) her hair color changed from brunette to dark red to fire engine red and finally to Ronald McDonald full-tilt orange. She also spent more time complaining about other providers, board mods (not this board) and finally started talking about other clients... I pulled the pin and exfiled ASAP to avoid the blast radius, and sure enough, shortly thereafter, she had to take a little involuntary "vacation" at a mental facility. Ladies, I don't care what color your hair is so long as you are comfortable with it. But when it's coincided with behavioral changes.... see ya!

Posted November 29 I think certain clients have a type, but there will be guys who prefer brunettes too. I would say do what feels good to you because nothing is sexier than confidence and someone who feels good in their skin.
Posted November 29 I initially read the headline as saying "drying" not "dying". My head (pun intended) went to a totally different place.
