What is "sad" is the amount of tax payer money spent on this "study"  and the fact that this "Doctor" has a following of students whose advanced studies will be trying to identify other animals dialects.  Just more proof that too many people are educated far beyod their intelligence.

How do you figure it’s “tax payer money”? The university she teaches at is private and the Center for Wildlife Studies is a non-profit which can go either way with funding.

The wealth of knowledge is yet to be discovered! I am excited to hear more! when I was younger, I did extensive study in college, and we travel to England, and I traveled the West Coast of the English countryside and I learned all about the different dialects, and I was totally fascinated by my experience. I was there to study theater, but in my travels I learned so much about the different dialects in and how fun that was in seeing things from a different perspective. Now, I am so interested in hearing about the elk! What do the different dialects have to teach us? no, I can think about us an orchestra bugles  bleeting out beautiful notes.

Here is the way I see it. Kali tried to post something she found cool and interesting about nature/wildlife.  A positive and fun thread. YOU have to jump in, and turn it into something negative. This BS ^^^^ and posts like this from the turds are why there is no more, or hardly anymore women posting to the forum anymore.  All the lovely ladies still are out there posting their content, but on their hobby Twitter. Never thought I would say this about social media, but their is less negativity. A more supporting environment for providers/clients on hobby Twitter.

@mustang without animals, bugs, all the critters the world would cease to exist! Humans are destroying the earth. We need to understand everything we can about them to preserve the ecosystem.  We have ignored the environment to the point of near destruction. Any small tiny thing we can learn adds to the chance for a healthy planet again.

So taking part in a PUBLIC FORUM and expressing a dissenting opinion is driving men from this group????  I suspect that it is more likely that the providers here that become plain toxic when some man dares disagrees with them.  In no way did I question the O.P's feelings, OR her statements.  I questioned the obvious. during the 2 + years I was writing my thesis I was "encouraged" by several P.H.D. s to slant my research toward a segment that pay a great deal in research grants but would make very little impact on what I was researching.  I lost a lot of respect for academia during that time.
