Watching "Police Squad!", the tv show that inspired the Naked Gun movies.  Same as the movies, non stop laughs

A great show.  Though it didn't make it as a TV show, it sure turned into a successful series of movies.  Leslie Nielsen was known as a serious dramatic actor and yet his comedic skills were outstanding.  The first thing I remember him from was "Forbidden Planet".

I’m trying to find out which of the new X-Files shows (and not-so-new) are on what network channel. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this question.

Forget it! I can’t get the link to come up properly! I give up! No big deal. It is on Netflix if you’re intrested.

A fun series to watch for those interested in witches and other beasts.  It is based on a series of books and the author did a ton of research regarding the history of the periods involved.  I think the show is outstanding and the scenery and cinematography are awesome.

I am now officially on season 3 and love the costumes and scenery. We relly don’t hear much about the 15th century, and I find it really interesting. Doctor Dee's assistant, Edward Kelly, really did go insane. They were also sexual deviants  (Dee and Kelly) and loved to swap wives. I’m serious about that.😈😈

yes I love dark stories and even better if they’re real stories. This one is an interesting intense short series on the Long Island serial killer. I think most of you would find it interesting because the killer went after SW’er’s.

if this movie series has been discussed already? Sorry! It is an intense  and chilling true story.

Overview
Examining the hunt for the Long Island serial killer through the perspective of his victims, their loved ones and the police.

Been watching Shogun and really enjoying it.  To the best of my recollection,  it really follows the same story as the version I remember watching as a kid in the early '80s. But I guess that makes sense, because they are both based on the same book. Beware, unlike the original, it is mostly in subtitles. But the plot moves along pretty quickly and is fairly easy to follow. Two thumbs up.

I just saw that the original Shogun from 1980 is available from CBS Films.  I remembering enjoying that as a kid, and it stars the late, great Richard Chamberlain. It's six, 90-minute episodes.  That's some serious bingeing. Might have to wait until next winter.

Watched the first episode of Bosch Legacy.  I think this is the final season and each of the seasons of Bosch and Bosch Legacy are wonderfully based on the books by Michael Connelly.  If you like police and detective shows I highly recommend the entire series.

Finished "The Pitt" and it was outstanding.  Also finished the season finales of "Chicago Med/Fire/PD".  I just started watching "The Chicago's" a couple of years ago and have streamed all the seasons.  They are a fun watch.

Star Wars dork here.... just finished Andor Season 2. I felt like they ended it well and made a good transition to timeline wise- Rogue One.

Dying for Sex is a 6-part series. Best I've seen in a long time, but it is a bit of a chick flick. Hot sex scenes with her neighbor. Worth the watch.

Not streaming per se.

But the other night I was channel surfing and stumbled upon "Hustlers" on BET!

The movie is based on a true story about NYC high-end strippers drugging and fleecing Wall Street hedgies out of 10's of 1000's on credit card bottle-service scams ... at Scores strip club in NYC!

Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu are terrific!

The casting is superb!

It's destined to become a cult classic!

I'm currently watching Girls on HBO. I watched the first few seasons when they were new but never finished the series. I regret that now. It is one of the, if not the, defining show for millennials especially the older ones. Like her or not Lena Dunham was the voice for her generation and she crushed it. So insightful and funny and she was only like 22.

For the record, I liked Sopranos.  Watching the first season of Land Man right now.  So far, I'm a fan.

Was this one worth the time? I'm thinking about giving it a go.

Anyone watch Monster: The Ed Gein Story? Any thoughts? I just love Ryan Murphy's stories and directing. From most of the American Horror Stories to all of these Monster stories. He is a master of the macabe.

Haven't watched it yet but probably will.  I was in Plainfield, WI in the mid-70's.  Had breakfast at a cafe and made an Ed Gein joke.  The cafe went completely silent and folks stared at me.  I finished my breakfast quickly and left the cafe.  It was one of the times where my failed attempt at humor was really in poor taste.  I learned from that experience.  My hope is that I've matured over the years.
