Posted August 20, 2021 I am curious, perhaps naievely, about why this needs to happen. Is there some regulatory body reviewing content? Was there an avalance of subscriber complaints? Does explicit content somehow violate some statute in a way that online porn does not? If true, fuck 'em, take it down altogether and the sooner the better. JMHO And yes, of course, given that, banks were alarmed. SB it is explained in the article. Serious moderation problems on OF, and allowing illegal content related to what Gr8owl mentions. No banks in their right mind would stand by behind that. OF turned an eye for a very long time, and this investigation went on for a while. There are victims here, and that content is horrible to so many lives. It is a good question you asked SB. Posted August 23, 2021 (edited) It was bound to happen... anytime sites get huge or want to become mainstream, it draws attention from the wrong people (in this case news media), and sadly some things have to get curbed. I also understand there was concern about underage/non-consensual content... fine regulate and report that, but not a blanket ban on all explicit content. I learned about it from a couple girls who are moving/shadowing content to another site, getting ready for the hammer. Can't see self-produced porn in peace anymore, sheesh! I found a couple a ladies with great content that totally entertain me! I am/were a dedicated subscriber. Also it was a great way to view potential dates! Lots of providers on OF. Interesting to see how the response was. First shock from the ladies of the unknown. Like being blindsided as the carpet had been pulled out from them. Now, the ones I follow have a couple of pay sites they will move onto. In the end it will work out, I believe.
