Fruita rules! Epic cycling.

And there's great dispersed camping, not to mention the Kokopelli trail from Rabbit Valley to Moab and the open-pit dinosaur dig (sorry, not the correct paleontologist term)  but  personally I never see people when travelling there, mostly because an acquaintance got in trouble in GJ so it doesn't seem worth it and not a provider-friendly town.

So that's a tough one, but Vail/Eagle isn't all that far and lotsa women go there.

Just couldn't imagine traveling to Fruita to ride. Maybe for a race.... 300 miles of single track out my door here in Durango - from 6,500' to 12,000'. A talent pool that would match any in the world - except maybe Gallen, Switzerland.

Safe travels.

Thanks in advance.

You can always find a lady that piques your interest, read her website for her traveling rates, screen with her, and have her come to you. It doesn't always have to be super complicated as someone traveling there or living there. Ya know. You have options.

Yes it is

I guess YMMV. I wouldn't call GJ part of SW Colorado.

Is Grand Junction Colorado part of SW asking for a friend...😘

I wouldn’t t consider it located in SE Colorado. But it’s a lot closer to the 4 Corners than Denver is.

Some claim there's an ancient hooker migratory route that cuts through part of SW CO. It was used as recently as the time of Cortez, when his official expedition recorder Diaz de Infante, noted numbers of brightly dressed hookers moving during twilight hours. Never a large population, sightings dwindled during modern times to the point than many now doubt even the historical accounts. "Brumph" , snorted 3rd generation rancher Paul Diddel. "Probably nothing more than a couple of pronghorn dressed for a night out. Just like manatees being mermaids, if ya ask me."

I had a few providers respond with potential plans to travel down this way. Thanks so much.

BTW... the air quality down here is great. Monsoons are kicking in a bit and washing the residue from north of us away.

Safe travels.

Clean Air?  Mosoons/Rain?

Keep talking that way and you get all of Denver metro headed your way.

We have so much smoke in the air you can't see the mountains from 10 miles away and haven't seen any measurable rain in weeks.

We lived it a few years a go with the 55,000 acre 416 Fire. A decade before with the 70somethousand Missionary Ridge Fire.

Check our www.purpleair.com. Very Cool site. These folks started selling air quality monitors that connect wireless to wifi. Those metrics feed into their web portal. You get real time air quality readings anywhere in the world. We have maybe  a dozen monitors in Durango. On smoky AM's I can check out the web portal see where air quality is good and good recreate there.

You likely have hundreds of monitors in the Front Range.

Enjoy.
