Never thought life would be even better at 40.. But yes it is.... Are there other ladies that feel this way as well?... Gentlemen what is your take on this subject... Let's have a discussion that is not Covid related please!!!

Id rather spend time with a 40yr old than a 20 yr old with whom I would have nothing to discuss.

I remember when I turned 40 my Dad sent me a letter describing 40 as the most productive year of his life.

For me it was a very good year as well, but on a more personal level.  I finally resolved where I WANTED to be in the corporate structure.  I also met my partner of 25 years after two failed marriages.

So yes, 40 was a very good year.

Happy Birthday and hooray for the 40s,

(hooray for the pudding, hooray for the pumpkin pie. )

A universal truth:

the best is yet to come.

Well I can't remember what I did last week, let alone what I did when I was 40. It just all blurs together,  when all you do is work.  So enjoy it while you can and take plenty of pictures.

20’s I thought I knew it all and was going to rule it all.

30’s I realized that I didn’t know shit while I was in my 20’s and that I still had a lot to learn.

40’s I started to use what I had learned in my 20’s and 30’s and started making progress in life and realized that I could learn something new everyday.

50’s I put everything I had learned so far in life to use and started cruising in life.

60’s I realized that I had missed a lot in life and wonder why I have squandered my life doing doing things that was expected of me and that I really didn’t like.

70 is a short stone throw away.  F**k I’m going to be old😳

But one thing is for sure, I have met some fantastic people here on TOB that I am proud to call friend.

Things do get better as we mature, I will take one 40's over two 20's any day.

At 20 I was a dumb ass. I didn't have a plan.

At 40 I was executing the plan I came up with at about age 30.

Now, pushing 60 I’m enjoying the plan I created!

The point is...............

Make A Plan!

I had two very different lives at 20 and at 40.  Both very interesting though...

I was a mother at 22 and life was hard during my 20's. My baby is graduating from college this year. My 40's are many times better than those early years. Of course, my self-confidence is much higher.

Remember what George Burns had to say on the subject,

”You’re only as old as the woman you feel.”

Definitely prefer someone closer to 40 than 20,. My last special friend was in her early 50's. I do like the quote your only as old as the woman you feel. But with that said, maturity and no drama is everything for me.,

I had always heard it attributed to Burns, but upon further investigation the consensus is that it was Groucho.  Thanks for the correction.

Gotta say I have met some wonderful ladies from their 20's to their 50's and have had some great times, no matter the age. For that, I am truly grateful !!
