Posted June 26, 2019 Welcome to Summers in Denver! There's always so much going on here during the summer. Even the mid to lower end hotels book completely up. Posted June 26, 2019 Conventions, softball tournaments, vacations, etc. A few years ago Denver had 2 huge conventions and a girls national softball tournament in town. You had to go Ft. Collins or COS to find a room. I did find a room in a Holiday Inn Express in the Denver area for $750.00 for one night. When there are more people wanting to visit, than rentals available, prices will go up. Capitalism exemplified. While I'm not a fan of rising prices, I certainly understand WHY they are rising.
