Long song

When faced with a long road trip, I used to grab a ‘book on tape/CD’ for the drive.   Music CDs just got repetitive. But now that  I have Sirius/XM, I listen to all sorts of stuff. Oldies on the Sinatra channel are probably my favorites.

Well, since it’s Kansas ...

I think this rendition is better than Judy’s

Books on tape usually pass the time pretty well. Put on your favorite Tunes and just relax with the drive I like to mix up the music some country some old-time Beatles and a little bit of Bob Seger

For multi hour road trips, Sirius XM is great. I can change between different stations with different genres of music.

Get board with one, go to something entirely different.

I even once found a Bieber song I enjoyed. Hell  froze over that day 😂😂

Santana's Supernatural CD is one I listen to on trips.  When I don't necessarily want to know the music, I'll play Spotify and play artist such as Tom Misch, FKJ, 6lack and others.

Safe travels when you return!

Springsteen "The River."  It's a double album, good for nearly two hours.  I have used it to extinguish Kansas.

Of course ever since God created XM radio, my system is almost always stuck on the Grateful Dead XM channel.  Usually it plays a great assortment of tunes, but in the evenings it plays entire Dead shows from first note to last note, with no interruptions (if the band took a break in the live show, they usually just blend it together so no breaks).  Last night I listened to a continuous jam from Loveland to Centennial, no breaks, all pure improvised phychodelia jam.  Pure heaven.

I absolutely love IZ, gone too soon, and especially love this video.  He is an icon in Hawaii and that is his actual funeral at the end of the video, if you didn't watch it, you should.

I did watch the whole video, and more of his work.  This winter I took up the ukulele, transitioning from guitar. That skinny little fretboard is a real challenge.😙

If you’re into ukulele, here’s another virtuoso

SXM is an absolute must for road trips.  Just about anything you are in the mood for from coast to coast.

One of my favorites here, especially since a special lady performed a little sing along to it!
