AOC / She's Hot, You're not

155 posts in this topic

Let's face it: this is the future:

AbHcStkl_400x400.jpg

Now, granted, some of her positions are a little "out there" - but give her time to sand off the edges, and you're looking at a future President.

She's smart, hot, knows her stuff, isn't afraid to let it all out: so, no surprise that this gets Refucklicans and Trump-ballsack sucking supplicants in a tizzy.

I follow her on IG where she scores win after win and beats down haters like LL Cool J beats down wannabee rappers.

Can you tell I'm a fan?

2Big, I thought you were smarter than that. There isn’t enough money, even taxing the rich at 100% and confiscating all their wealth to pay for her childish dreams.  Government is so much better at managing business and funds than common folk. Just look at ‘5 year plans’ and Social Security for proof of that.  BTW, I’m not a fan of the current administration either.

In closing I’ll leave you with this musical interlude.  I picked the version with dancing girls, though other versions have more illustrative lyrics.

I never said I endorse all her proposals. She's young, she'll learn. But almost anything beats the current policies by Mr. Orange Top and his FAKE cronies.

This woman is the REAL deal - she had fiddy bucks in her bank account. She couldn't move to DC until her first paycheck came through - when I moved to DC I had to stay with relatives in Virginia until I could cash MY first paycheck. She made ends meet by waitressing - People can RELATE to that.

AOC is the Sarah Palin of the Democratic Party.

She makes JFK look like a far right conservative.

Hell, she makes Hillary and Bernie look like conservatives.

When she filed paperwork to run for Congress, she initially filed in the wrong district. She didn’t even know what congressional district she lived in.

However, when reporters tried to talk to her at her listed address in New York, she couldn’t be located at her listed residence. Residents at her listed address said they had never seen her or had not seen her in over 6 months. When her campaign manager and public relations people were asked where she lived in NYC, they side stepped the questions and refused to answer.

I seriously doubt she only had $50 available to her when she was elected.

She is hiding something.

Took three posts before someone rolls out the conspiracy theories....

And, yeah, sorry my bad...she's actually quite wealthy.;)

Tells you what kind of country we live in where people are more worried about her savings than about Russia's interference in our elections.

Have yet to find the perfect system for everyone don't believe communism worked in Russia and it is not close to Communism in China but certainly capitalism leaves some behind in many cases it's their own fault and other cases it's the fault of the systems. The grandiose schemes of the new quote-unquote progressives are poorly thought-out and will probably result in typical political posturing hoping to sway votes and keep them in office so they can become the new rich. As for me thinking that if any of their plans come into effect stockpiling all the non perishables I can and buying gold might to be the smart approach.

Good for 2-Big and AOC. I’m a huge fan also, but wonder why are you bothering to discuss social justice with a bunch of old cranky, white guys? You can see the predictable backlash. AOC is the face of the future, FOX “News” be fucked.

In truth, it is the Republicanista tax cut for the rich that is bankrupting our country, not health care for sick people.

Will be interesting to see what her bank account looks like when she leaves office. Probably like the rest of our so called leaders

Of course Russia tried to interfere in our election.  It’s in their best interest to destabilize our political system so that we don’t pay too much attention to what they’re doing in the world.  It’s not like the USA hasn’t played that game in world politics.  I’m just not convinced that either party colluded with them. It’s also in Russia’s to make it look like one side, or the other, colluded; enhances the de-stability.

The one thing about this thread:

There are 2 sides here and the extremists on each side will not acknowledge that the other side may have some valid points.

I appreciate you pointing out the extremes in this thread when your last post was fairly extreme in itself.

I would also assume everyone stating their disdain for AOC and her lack of would be doubly angry at the current sitting president and the administration though it seems to draw little ire from this board.

Lastly I say I actually like her. I don’t care for all of her proposed policies, but she never hid who she was or what she wanted to get done and that’s what got her elected. With luck she’ll smooth out but I hope she doesn’t lose her tenacity.

Regardless of anyone's political leaning, both major parties have done a pretty good job of driving out the moderates in their ranks. Both parties are led by extremists who feel that it's a weakness to even consider negotiating with the other side to find a common ground.  It's simply a scorched-earth policy on both sides.

Polls have shown that the majority (the "silent majority" of the Nixon era comes to mind) of Americans are politically moderate, and go from one side to other depending on the issue, but when faced with a dearth of moderate politicians due to a flawed system, are often faced with choosing the lesser of two really bad evils.

Not a way to run the greatest country on earth.

I do consider AOC the Sarah Palin of the Democratic Party. If thats extremist, so be it.

I am equally pissed off if not more so at our current President and the leaders of BOTH PARTIES.

YES!!! ^ this ^

The 24/7 news cycle (with its demands for sound bites and transparency) combined with the echo chambers of the Internet have destroyed any middle ground in politics. Gone are the days of back room horse trading, finding a middle ground that both sides, while not completely pleased, could at least accept the deal.  Instead all the half-baked ideas  (like The Wall & Medicare for all) get trolled through the hourly news w/o consideration for the consequences and side effects.  Hyped to enflame the public and sell ‘ink’.

Our elected representatives have lost their ability to privately debate the issues.  They cannot reach across the aisle to find equitable solutions for our nation’s problems.  Thankfully, this often means government grid lock.  Thankfully?  Yes, lest we suffer from what our Founding Father’s feared almost as much as King George - the tyranny of a public majority.

$40 for an escort in Prague? What planet are you living on? I've been to Prague plenty of times, and, trust me, you ain't gonna find a cheap ho.

More importantly, AOC isn't my type. I don't go for the nerdy policy types .... big booty strippers/street walkers/porn stars is more what I'm looking for..;)

Sorry not sorry! Voted for Trump and think he’s doing a fantastic job. I mean unless you’re against having the greatest economy in a long time. Pretty much no unemployment, and he’s working for the people!  Trump 20/20 not because I’m fanatical, I’m not. Not because I won’t listen to the other side, I listen, but they lie and lie and lie. It’s been a side show circus...wonder what he could do if they actually supported the president.

Im going back to NC and enjoy my guns, sweet tea and quiet. Oh and there’s SOOOO many black people where I live who are voting for Trump. It’s kinda silly when you listen to what the American people want and look at that instead of the news. You find out all sorts of things.

Actions speak louder than words! Trumps actually doing things. The Democrats are all running around hating trump so much they’re losing sight as to what is best for the people! Socialism is not what’s best for this country. Not even Socialism light. None! We’re a FREE country.

READ 1984

Im actually in the process of composing a white paper on the current political state compared to 1984. If you read that book and don’t come away with a bit of fear, there’s something wrong with you. Just look at the similarities. Big brother is watching!

In comparison to 1984 I’m assuming with this administration you’ll discuss all forms of nationalism that’s prevelant in that book and compare them; Positive, Negative, and Transeference because we can see all of them right now and how easily they parallel. I’m also guessing you’ll talk about this administrations censorship with the press. Along with the blatant lies told daily. That is easily fact checked.

With the economy I’m also assuming you’ll present the state of the economy when Obama took over and left offfice and compare that to what Trump received and where it is now. I’d also be curious to know how beneficial those take breaks were for everyone this year. As well as future projections of where the economy is headed; sustainability.

Surveillance doesn’t seemed to have been dialed back or increased as best I can tell.

No one mentioned race in this thread with regards to those voting for Trump until your comment.

There has been plenty for propaganda, misinformation, and an absolute denial of truth with this administration so more comparison to 1984. Oh and alternative facts. I don’t really know how that one can be argued but ok. There’s also the often commented need to take legal action against those that speak ill of the president coming from The President.

I’d also love to hear your take on what you consider to be socialism and how exactly that’s affecting you at this very moment. And further what socialist acts are going in place to make us a socialist state.

While I’m left leaning I do not think the Democrats have conducted themselves the best so I’ll agree with you their focus on hating Trump seems to blind them from an actual strategy. Like pointing out his policies and total deficiencies.

Yours fears of an Orwellian State aren’t unfounded. Will we become one? Likely not as long as people stay vigilant; however, your fears of that eventuality seem to be misguided if you’re backing the current administration and everything they’ve put out there for the world to see.

You can message me directly if you’d like to discuss this! I’m always up for mutual discourse. I don’t shy away from politics and think we can have a civil conversation.

Not sure what you're on about. Boink claimed AOC looks like a Prague hooker.

I schooled him by telling him that I've never seen a $40 ho in Prague that looks like her. Shit, as I pointed out, I've never seen a $40 ho in Prague since the late 1980s. And I've been to Prague, Budapest, Bucharest, Sofia, etc. plenty of times - always on the lookout for cheap poonani.

Plus, AOC is and looks Latin with a healthy side dish of native blood.

Yeah, I don't think Prague comes into the equation here. ;)

Then, again, if anyone has reliable intel on cheap Prague hookers - let me know, and I'll be on a plane tomorrow.

It would be in everyone's best interests if we all could chill and have a good conversation (i.e. seeing other's POV) about what our country should stand for (our principles), as opposed to personal attacks....true dialog.  Encouraging divisive behavior can ultimately take us to a very bad place I would hope no one wants to go.
