What is your Poison?

46 posts in this topic

Good evening all,

What is your Poison of choice?

Myself, I am a beer fanatic, light to dark, smooth to heavy, it all has a place... much like another hobby we know...  and I love tasting all it has offer!  How about you?  Whiskey, Wine,?  What is your escape?

Good red wine: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir or Malbec are my favorites.

I’m a single malt whiskey collector, Scotch, Irish, American, Japanese. Barley’s where it’s at.  But I do enjoy the occasional rye.

It can be a little wicked.  Tequila or anything with tequila in it.  Even the fruity ones,  just depends on where I am at and what I am doing.

I don’t discriminate too much:

Scotch, tequila, sake, grey goose, Cabernet, champagne

As I said before, single malts are my ‘go to’.  But when wanting something with less alcohol, I look to ales, from a nut brown like Newcastle to a porter or cream stout.
