Patriots owner Robert Kraft busted

59 posts in this topic

I believe it was a massage parlor incident- seems to be leaking out.

But How could you fault a widower? (his wife died in 2001).

"Anonymity" of walk-in parlors, street work gone internet /anonymous meetings tend to be costly mistakes vs being a high profile gent who finds a super discreet independent escort who will take his secret to the grave. ugh   Most of the "big" high profile guys tend to be smarter than that...and develop a relationship with an indy who will take their secrets to the grave.

but it may also be a generational thing. He grew up when there was a heavy "house" or street scene, perception of SWers were that they were risky or out to scam or steal or pimped..and he perhaps never took the new progressive mentality of hiring independently.

The worst part, that if it WAS a parlor....he might have actually patronized an organization that has a greater chance of women Actually working under co-erced/trafficked conditions (as I know from my New England days and our parlors in RI. :( )

Took place in Florida... you'd figure a billionaire could afford to be more discreet... They have video evidence. 🤣

Maybe one day one of these rich guys with nothing to lose will stand up and say "Yup, I see sex workers, they are wonderful people". And this will slowly become less stigmatized.

(I say he has nothing to lose since the secret is already out)

You would think that a billionaire would be more discreet, but, might be a "kink" for him, getting some strange in a strange, "seedy" (for a billionaire) place. Thrill for him being "dirty".

Rich and old, guessing noone would care if they are doing escorts. Charlie Sheen was able to do it for years. I've heard stories about a rich, semi-known LAer that would parade around with multiple ASPs ala Hefner and his "girlfriends" with noone batting an eyelash. And see aforementioned Hef.

Yeah, get a real pro, or don't be cheap, as the stories will then for sure roll out (see: Tiger Woods and how he wouldn't help his girls with rent etc, so, sell their stories to the tabloids).

Never was much a fan of Robert Kraft but, after this incident, I have changed  my mind and give him a big thumbs up!

Wonder if the NFL will bench him for all of next season?  Definitely would if he were a player.

My question is, “How did they get video evidence INSIDE the spa?”

Develop some probably cause (snitches, etc), get a judge to approve a warrant, break in after hours and plant some devices. And/Or someone inside the operation was cooperating with the cops and planted the cameras for them.

Re: video. Most likely, AMP had cameras all over the place.

AMP next to a coffee shop I go to has cameras outside. Seen reviews for AMPs where reviewer states in a room where they had monitors for the various cameras placed around the spa. Could easily see that video saved on a computer and PD searched that.

Lots of the jack shacks, spas might have recording devices. Recall going to a jack shack many years ago and seeing a baby monitor behind some furniture. At the time, passing thought was "why a baby monitor". Now being a bit more savvy about these things, know it's for listening in. In case of jack shack, make sure nothing going on for on the side, extra services, and making sure the house gets their cut. Brothels do the same thing re: listening in on the negotiation.

In this day of GoPros, webcams, spy cams, etc. never really know if some is/isn't watching/recording.

Well he wouldn’t be the first high profile guy caught going to a sex worker even with a super hot significant others. Remember Hugh Grant? Elizabeth Hurley is as hot as they come.

What amazes me is that he dates this actress/model since 2012? Why the hell would he need to get his jollies off in an Asian "massage parlor"?

I bet this story with planted surveillance camera by LE is going to put a significant dent in the AMP business.

pretty serious stuff for  an NFL owner to bring to the public eye - i wonder if the NFL will let him keep the team if that video surfaces...

Tons of wild ass speculation out there as always, but the available facts can be interesting for a number of reasons.  FWIW:

While I agree with the hope that someone with "juice" will speak up, I am not too sure why you think he has nothing to lose.  Girlfriend, family issues, major penalties from NFL including potentially losing ownership, endless protests and pickets from the "trafficking" PACs, boycotts of his businesses, etc.  True, when all the dust clears he is still probably a billionaire, but I would say a bunch to lose.  Begging the question of why risk it all for a fucking hand job at a low hanging fruit rub and tug?

Massage Parlors do Have Entry And Hallway Cameras. The "FEE" is collected on Camera in the Main Entry. That fee gets "dropped" in a rotated safe and Does NOT belong to the chosen girl. Once a SPA is either busted or compromised a All involved WARRANT is issued for the Videos and EVERYTHING on site,  and Since Most Mp's use a 48-72 rollover feed it is easy to bust in, Dominate the scene and collect most needed evidence in minutes. A onsite Snitch may not be the case.

The linked police report reminds us that when LEO start asking questions STFU!!!  The survelience warrant was based on customer statements after “traffic stops”.  While the report presents clear evidence of brothel activity, I didn’t see any indication of “trafficking” other than the recent changes is federal law that makes all sex for hire activity trafficking.  The report even goes so far as to use the phrase “willing participants”.  The spa has been open since 2012.  Why are they just getting around to busting them now?

The linked report gives an interesting glimpse into LE operations.

Yeah, I thought there were many interesting points in it if anyone takes time to read it.  I still do not quite get the "obtained warrant to set up the video only, no audio" thing (major problem for LE except the guys that tipped).  That implies either:

  • LE some how managed to install cameras all through the place WITHOUT notice to owners - not sure how you would manage that, nor admissibility later.
  • Or, management was served with warrant to install the cameras and either agreed to throw clients under bus or were forced to by LE.  That would make LE the operators of the trafficking operations and just as culpable as the owners since they let it go on for months.   Hmmmmmm
  • Or, the warrant was to seize the AMP's cameras at will.  In which case, speaking of stupid, recording illegal activity and keeping copies, in addition to the paperwork just pitched in the trash!!  Yep, it certainly took incredible police work to bust this one!!!!

As to the timing ...... determination of federal grants to fight "trafficking" hits April 1.  As mentioned in prior thread ... there will be a lot of high profile activity to support grant applications.

Also, it sounds like this was just a spinoff from another County where they did find evidence of trafficking - importing Chinese women under false pretenses for the purpose of at least coerced prostitution when arriving here.  It is a common model for various AMP operations - a few people operating several outlets with ladies from Asian countries, with some level of coercion, rotating the ladies through all the shops, keep them living at the shop and isolated.  Exact model that has operated for years in Springs and that was busted a couple years ago.  Then right back in business.  In addition to just asking to get caught up in stings that is why I never set foot in AMP's - would have to worry about actually contributing to real trafficking.  Fuck that! They deserve whatever fines and jail time they get (the owner/operators)

And serves Kraft right for being that fucking stupid.  No better options than a $79/hr AMP for a billionaire?!?!?!?!

I couldn't care less if some rich guy is getting a handy down in Florida, but I really hope the police didn't have reason to believe there was trafficking going on in there, but still let it go on for that long just to build a case.  I would hope that the minute they have reason to suspect that there is trafficking going on that they would raid the place and get the girls out. Worry about building the case later.

Easy. LE can get a court order to enter clandestinely and install cameras that the owners don't know of, or need to consent to. In the old days, that was the basis for "wiretapping". As long as they got a court order with probably cause, this isn't that hard to do.

I understand, getting the LEGAL right to do so was cake given the fact that numerous clients flipped immediately during made up traffic stops.  My POINT was how do you physically come in and install cameras without the management and employees noticing?  Unless your tech masquerades as a client and even then it would be damn hard in the front lobby!! In my opinion, not happening and management (or owner of building) would have to know, making this really fishy.  "Wiretapping" was easy when everything was by wire!!  Could be done anywhere down line.
