Posted January 31, 2019 I did not want to hijack another thread or make it about any specific person, or appear to be. But, it seems to me that although it has been discussed here before the occasional reminder is in order. Or perhaps it is just me, if so I am good with that, especially if someone can make a case for me being incorrect. Warning to usual suspects - probably TLDR. If someone who has been here a while, has a few reviews and enough posts to get an idea of whether he is a stand up guy or an asshat, etc. I am all for sharing reasonable information and details about a lady I have seen. I am positive there are many here that could verify that statement. However, when a total newbie with no posts, no reviews, not been a member long, wants to know more information and details about ladies with double digit reviews, I believe it is a horrible idea to divulge anything other than what is in the reviews. Why? Well, what if the brand spanking new member is: Her ex Her stalker A pimp A LEO Your wife Another reviewer's wife An obnoxious potentially violent asshat How the hell do you know it is none of the above? That it is not going to cause problems for you and/or the whole community for lack of discretion and caution. Or just showing a little respect and consideration for the ladies is a good idea because the more happy ladies who are feeling comfortable and safe ...... well I am sure you can fill in the blanks. So how does freely sharing details with someone unknown affect the lady badly? Amongst others (sure any lady could name more): Pretty much document and detail acts that best stay private (hope I do not have to explain) Creates Unreal expectation of whatever damn thing the giver of information brags about in pm Makes it harder for service menu to change over time or just plain YMMV WTF, since when are gory details about private time with any lady under any circumstance really proper? (old fashioned perhaps, but not raised that way) Facilitate or encourage someone to go see her who for all you know is a train wreck and a lady's worst nightmare We all have it very good here (thanks mods!!!), especially compared to what most thought it was going to be by now. With changes in the laws and rules discretion is much more important. If we are all going to benefit from this site and continue to enjoy it, we all have some responsibility for protecting it (and all of us individually) from problems by exercising a little common sense, discretion and privacy. Lastly, if a lady has double digit great reviews WTF else do you need to know? Just book a short session and find out the rest in person. A little mystery is half the fun! OK, long rant over. Yes, when I have an opinion I will state it, but I really am interested to hear if I am full of crap here. Posted January 31, 2019 (edited) Thank you! I remember worrying about this for the first time when BP shut down and we were drowning in newbies on both sides of the fence. I told my less experienced guy friends to be leary of strangers asking them specifics about the ladies because it could be incriminating for both him and her. Posted January 31, 2019 Firstly, I'm not a "kiss and tell" kind of guy. So I will not share intimate details in reviews or in PM. (Like you Owl, I'm "old fashioned" when it comes to what is shared publicly.) And I agree that there's no need to even ask if the lady is well-reviewed. Furthermore, it seems to me that if a guy wants to inquire about the menu, he should be asking the lady directly. But I'll take this discussion one step further. Why can TOB reviews be read by anyone without even creating a TOB account? It seems like a breach of providers' privacy. Of course, it's easy enough for someone to create a fake account, so it's not a deterrent against anyone determined to get review information on a provider. Posted January 31, 2019 For clarity, this was about pm's mainly to unknowns, not reviews. Reviews are moderated, mods have kept it all afloat so far, their board their rules. Pm's are not moderated. Posted January 31, 2019 (edited) Yes, Owl you’re correct, and we appreciate that. And I even agree with you AsianLover. I got shot down though. If a guy is not willing to join and go through protocol, he’s more than likely a time waster. I don’t see a lot of benefit of having anyone and everyone on here reading, then immediately dialing or texting. However others think that will impact business.
