with hambone leftover from Thanksgiving, pork jowl, turnip greens with turnips and ham-hocks, homemade cornbread...whats your traditional dinner? Happy New Years all.

Navy beans with four ham shanks in the crock pot for about 6 hours.

Don't forget the beano or you won't be seeing anyone tomorrow unless your like a certain Mod.

 Not sure about dinner. But cooking up some breakfast burritos now for breakfast. Hashbrowns cooked in bacon grease...yum. gym what gym?

Try putting some vinegar and onions on it.

Well the last 10yrs I've been making Black eye peas, cabbage and rice with cornbread! So I guess you could say I've made that my little New Years tradition.

We don’t have a traditional New Years dinner. Sometimes I’ll make burritos or enchiladas, maybe I’ll make pizza, chicken cordon blue and garlic mashed potatoes. Whatever we are in the mood for, I cook it.

Tonight it was shrimp sautéed in butter and olive oil and then drizzled with an Asian sweet chili sauce and garlic cheese grits.

I'm going to try making Charro Beans soon.  If you haven't had them, you should at least try them.  First time I had them was in Austin, Texas last year.
