Posted December 17, 2018 There are no DNS records listed currently for them, so either they have taken their site down, are moving it, or their hosting company shut them down. Surprisingly eccie.net is registered through GoDaddy, so it's possible GoDaddy pulled the plug on their name. Posted December 18, 2018 I spoke to a Mod friend of mine about it. He spoke with some lf the admins who stated that its down and they dont know when it will be back up. It’s a little odd that they would go down after the updates in the last release, but in the end I understand the need to protect themselves. It’s disappointing for sure as far as touring for us, and more disappointing for the ladies that relied on it as their main advertising venue. Can’t believe they registered their domain via GoDaddy since I believe that is a US corporation. If that’s true, then no wonder GoDaddy pulled the plug on them. Posted December 18, 2018 I did an IP address searchnyesterday and it came back with a Netherlands based location and IP address was reviewed on mandatory this week. That being said, we are all speculating as to what has happened and none of us really know unless we have spoken with the owner of Eccie. I have been told that the ladies had no advance warning. There are ladies that depended on Eccie. I don’t know if TOB has opened up listings for others areas besides Colorado. But I suggest that we all try to get the word out to everyone that our beloved TOB is still here, operating under the guidelines that the ownership has in place that has allowed TOB to continue being the source for Colorado. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Posted December 19, 2018 (edited) Eccie is gone. It is confirmed. FOSTA is designed to put pressure on owners of boards like Eccie by exposing the site owners to civil litigation. If a lady happens to have a "manager" who is controlling her Eccie account, she is allowed by FOSTA to sue the site's owners in civil (not criminal) court. Though an owner can defend against a civil suit, it is the COST of defending against the civil suit that puts an owner of an escort board at risk. This has been discussed at great length. The former owner of tnaboard, Mr. J., stated that this is why he sold his site to a couple living overseas. If Eccie returns, it will be many, many months from now. The owners are getting older, they have much to lose by owning such a website in the new environment. If they do return, I doubt their membership will in large numbers. Ultimately, the problem Eccie had is this: too many "managers" and no way to verify that ladies were in control of their accounts; and the FACT that recently a DOJ official spoke to LE at a LE convention and said that Eccie was a target, and that FOSTA was designed to take them down, by stripping the owners of CDA1996 protections, and making them responsible for third-party content--in this case, managers posting ads on behalf of ladies without their permission. First of all, it’s a huge violation of our first amendment rights! Second, what is the purpose of this shit? Oh yeah! I forgot! The OLDEST profession in the world is going to end! Just like if we ban other things, the bad guys will suddenly obey the law! Gosh how silly of me! Yeah fuck that! People we have to fight for our rights! It’s perfectly acceptable for a woman to walk into planned parenthood and get an abortion, but for a woman to charge money to do the very act that would cause her to walk into planned Parenthood is not okay! Think about that! If this is to truly target trafficking, go after them! Otherwise, they are making this far more dangerous for so many women because they will be forced underground. Posted December 19, 2018 Local LE officials across the country have been complaining all year that the taking down of Craigslist and BP have greatly hampered their efforts to stop trafficking have also said Sesta/Fosta is having the same effect. The laws haven't eliminated the problems of trafficking, they have just pushed it more underground. And underground or not - it IS going to keep on keepin' on... There's a time and a place for everything... BP and Craiglist were great right up till they were bad for the hobby - casting way too much of the private hobby community into the public eye... Now this - for whatever reasons are handed down... Hopefully in the evolution of things, this is just a step towards legalizing the hobby - which may come with its own issues (like reefer) but really does fix a lot (like reefer)...
