Thanks for posting this.  The Kingfish is an excellent blues guitarist.  He and Samantha Fish are touring together - The Gone Fishin' Tour.  Should be a remarkable show with the two of them!  No published Colorado stop yet.  Can always hope.

On a lighter note.  A couple or three years ago in one of those upcoming talent threads someone - I believe @tide32 - posted about a quite young Taj.  So what is he up to these days - about to turn 16 in a couple weeks.  Starting to do his own songs and heads his very good band.  He not only has the courage to do covers of iconic songs from two of the best blues guitarists ever - Garry Moore and Stevie Ray Vaughn - but he flat out slays them.  Awesome to think how good he gets going forward.

The Gary Moore classic:

Stevie Ray's Texas Flood (he can sing a bit for 16 too)

Hope someone enjoys.  Oh, his little sister is a pretty good drummer too.

Have you ever loved woman so much you’re trembling and pain?

And all the time you know, she belongs to your very best friend….

Derek & The Domino’s…..

There are so many for me…. I could go on and on and on….

Well, if you want a friend, just feed any animal….

Jane’s Addiction …Summertime rolls

Every picture tells a story…. Rod Stewart…

Wasted time…. The Eagles.
But the one that always makes me cry is Levon by Elton John

Levon is outstanding.  In fact, all of "Madman Across the Water" is superb.  One of my favorite albums.

Brand new Grace!  Quoting from the song cover me with Grace.  Yes please.  She flows through so many genres over the years, and here into to distinctly jazz basis.  All I know is I am really liking this new album.

As the description says, an instrumental song inspired by a special girl.

Great for long drives into the sunset.

How about a little Sershen and Zaritskaya. Sergey's guitar and Daria (sigh, Christmas list still) with the exceptional voice that seems able to cover any song.  But here is an original.

But anyone out there checking here any more?

And now for something different, how about addictive piano playing of the very talented Ms. Margarita Sipatova  She and her music - both beautiful.  Have you ever heard Metallica like this?

But one of the things i really like about her is captured in this one.  An American song writing genius, the son of Jewish immigrants did the writing, played here upon a French designed piano built in St. Petersburg, Russia ( between 1810 and 1918 - listen to the tone on this over 100 year old piano.  I want one), by a hugely talented Russian lady.  A whole lot of world combining into something ..... judge for yourself.

Hope someone likes.

Well the Grammys and the Any Ole Music Hall of Fame have had their word for the year.  I rarely agree with either and certainly did not this year.  So here is gr8owl's pick for album of the year, 2025.  Anyone agree?  Anyone have their own album in mind?  Here are a couple tunes from Joe Bonamassa's album "Breakthrough"

There was one strong contender we can get to next time.  But anyone else?

Love Joe Bonamassa.  I've been fortunate to see him twice.  Once, years ago, at the Bluebird and years later at Red Rocks.  Gotta say that I enjoyed seeing him in a small venue because it felt like he (and his band) were playing for the fun of it.  Fond memories.

OK, so now about the other contender in my personal opinion for album of year, 2025. The "Some Kind of Feeling" album from Ms. Panagaris. Here are a couple songs from that excellent album

The Grammys are tonight and one album I said should be up for album of the year (see above) is at least up for Contemporary Blues Album of the Year - Joe Bonamassa's album Breakthrough!!

Even better news, Samantha Fish is also up for Contemporary Blues album of the year for the album Paper Doll.  One tune from the album:

I really hope Samantha wins.  She has been overlooked for ten years or more.  She absolutely should have won back in 2015 for Chills and Fever.  Couple from that album:

One of my all time favorite albums.  Miss the red hair.

I was hoping this song would win best song.  Not a huge KPop fan but this song is so good, and so well sung.

Speaking of red hair, how about a rising band from Ireland, Dea Matrona?  A most intriguing band.  They produce and promote their own music and operate their own record company.  (They being the two women, Molly McGuinn and Orlaith Forsythe).  Anyway couple tunes, one from their debut EP. Side note they both play bass and guitar and switch the instruments literally at times.

How about a classic I was thinking about from the "Made in Japan" live album - some (including me) would say the best live rock album ever produced. "I want you, I need you, I gotta be near you"  Yeah ..... I hope you all have encountered at least one "Strange Kind of Woman"  Or at least enjoy the amazing voice of Ian Gillan and the smoking guitar of Richie Blackmore.

One of the best live albums of all time.  If you want to see "Child in Time" live from 1970  (For that era it is a quality video.  The audience was told before the performance to be quiet during the filming):
