We also need to beef up the eVerify system, allowing businesses to document their workforce. But as you say, both sides for their own gain, want to maintain the status quo. One of the problems with the current situation on our southern border is that there’s no neutral zone. Once they set foot on US soil, they have Constitutional protections.
