Posted October 23, 2018 (edited) I don't use Snapchat or Facetime, so a non-starter for me. Not that it's a bad idea, but I think you'll find more guys like me... Edited October 23, 2018 by Just Another Guy
Posted October 23, 2018 It’s just another way to get literally any services rendered for free. Please don’t fall for these attention grubbing tactics, ladies, it takes away from your time and the time of the gentlemen who actually value what you offer.

Is this something that clients are asking for? That makes it ever an worse idea imo.
Posted October 23, 2018 I do not use Snapchat or FaceTime. It is a waste of time and they are not for me.

Posted October 23, 2018 Hell, I'm lucky I don't screw up texting (darn autocorrect!!), let alone try to figure out some face-time application....🤔🤔 And it wouldn't be a good idea to ask the grandkids teach me......😲😲
Posted October 23, 2018 I don't have a problem using FaceTime and find it to be helpful. I am not tech savvy but it works for me.

Posted October 23, 2018 ALL of the social media sites - most of which are owned by same 2 companies - do their absolute best to data mine you and connect ALL of your acccounts together and market your info to advertisers. Do i want all my real world and hobby world accounts linked and marketed the first time I slip and fail to protect from same? No!!! So how do i feel about hobby verification via them. HELL NO!
Posted October 23, 2018 By personal choice, I wouldn't use either Facetime or Snapchat. I, also, don't use any electronic social media sites. Though I am a old guy, in my past life, IT was my world. I prefer talk, text, PM's or email, especially in this hobby. To each their own, so I'm not judging others who use those tools.
Posted October 23, 2018 I tried a work Snapchat for a week. all I got were unsolicited pictures, and guys that wanted to endlessly chat and never schedule an appointment, so it got deleted. I did sign up to communicate with my daughter, because that's all this generation is using I guess... I even have pictures with bunny ears......
Posted October 24, 2018 I use Snapchat for tour updates mostly. I do videos and pics so the guys can see I’m not 40lbs heavier than what I advertise or 20 years older lol. I love Snapchat! it’s a great way for the client to see the real you and better than Twitter bc everything is deleted after 24hrs. I’d never verify through Snapchat or FaceTime though bc I don’t book via social media sites. I’ve been trying to figure out how to start a premium Snapchat. Can’t figure it out for some reason 🤷🏻♀️

Posted December 7, 2018 (edited) I love technology, but find most social media to be a complete waste of time. Give me real conversation and face to face interaction any day of the week. I hear all the talk of how “connected we are” as a society. I call BS, the iPhone generation consists of the most socially awkward people I’ve ever met in my life. They can text and send Snapchat messages all day long, but can’t carry on a conversation to save their soul. Damn, I’m starting to sound like my father! 😲 Social media is a great marketing tool for my business, but off hours I’d rather look you in the eyes and hear your voice. okay, stepping down off my soapbox now. Posted December 7, 2018 No way, no how. If lady asking to verify via that, no way I want to chance having me facially recorded pooining. If a lady and a dude asking this, ditto on reverse. Saw a story today re: lady on a business trip got blackmailed with secret shower videos. Dude put the videos on porn sites with her real name. Yes, different, but, you see on the porn sites where a girl does one porn on these amateur sites and the comment section is full of "her real name is xyz. Know her from...". If a dude asking for verification, I'm a fan of the "hostage" pic: recent newspaper from town in (it's only $1.50-ish investment for a session fee).

I personally don’t mind but then u get the rude ones that FaceTime jack... off 😩 ruins it for everyone I went a tour last year at this time exact time with my friend girl. She picked up her friend girl during our tour, because of how she screen and carry herself I didn't want to pick her up and I was missed. Anyway my first mind was right. While we was leaving one city going to the next. She FaceTime a client after they had been snap chatting. Long story short he was a cop. Since he knew she was in the car with two other females I was paranoid.. She kept calling our phones saying if you just bring my ID they say they will let me go!😭😭 We hit the highway. So yes I know girls who make plenty off of social media. But I also know girl that got busted off of it also. Don't let the be the only way you verify.
