I got pulled over for speeding about 25 yrs ago a few miles north of Placerville. I sorta sped up coming around a corner going north and to my dismay, the local sheriff was parked facing south. I knew I was toast and just pulled over and retrieved all my paperwork. After he had gone back to his patrol car I noticed several sets of tire tracks in the snow where I had pulled off. He soon came back to my car with a ticket in hand. I said to him " by the looks of all the tracks in the snow here, I'll bet this is your favorite place to set up shop. He smiled widely and said "yes, it is". I still had to send a check to San Miguel County.

Tooling along on a 2-lane country road in a TR7, trying to see what she would do when I slowed down to pass a car. Just then I spotted a trooper hiding in the corn field.  After I pulled over, collected paper work & waited, he said, “Do you realize that I clocked you at 67 with your brake lights on?”  The only truthful response was, “Yes, sir.”

I’ve always been thankful for that slower car in my lane 😄

When I was a lad, I had just gotten my learner's permit. Me and some cronies out terrorizing grabbed a couple of dozen eggs. My turn came up and I let 3 fly, all direct hits, on come the spots and roof bubble lights, yup just egged a cop car. The bad part was my daddy had warned me he didn't want to hear from the police in the am. While I did get a warning, that I did give to my dad, and got a good whuppin for it, I didn't have to appear or anything else. I still have yet to be  in a cop car.

"That's My Story and I'm Stickin to It" LOL

Had more run ins than I care to remember. I thought speed limit signs were just suggestions back in the day, if not why do speedometers go to 120 mph or better. Got expensive, so I slowed down and found something else (I enjoy), to spend the money on.

There is no rush like the lead foot rush!

I have a addiction to the rush you get when you floor it and put the pedal to the metal!

There are too many damn people on the roads these days in the city but on the outskirts, roll the windows down and let the hair blow in the Wind!

I've been playing in bands since I was 13. We used to play outdoor parties, for friends, in the summer. We probably had about a dozen "turn it down" conversations, with LE, before we were old enough to play in bars. Luckily, never got any summons!

When I was 15, I convinced my parents that it was OK for me to drive on my learners permit as long as there was a licensed driver in the car of any age (totally not true).  I was a sophomore in high school and really had the hots for a senior girl in one of my classes.  I asked her to go see the movie "Woodstock" with me, and she said yes (my first older woman )  Well, so there I am, totally engrossed in talking to her and going about 65 mph in my dad's Buick, right through the 40 mph zone on University Boulevard in front of St. Mary's Academy, a notorious speed trap.  Of course, I got pulled over.

Back in those days you got out and approached the cop car, and I told the cop the whole story and he took a long look at me and said "so you just turned 15, don't have a driver's license, you have a 17-year-old girl on a date in the car with you, and you're speeding over 20 miles per hour?"  After a long pause, he said, "You better slow down, hot shot, at least until you get her home."  He let me go with a wave and a snicker.

I had a great time on my date with the older woman, but only got a peck on the cheek, life hasn't changed much.

Those were the stories you were looking for, aren't they?  All of my other police encounters entail a substance that may not be mentioned.

True story: I got pulled over for swerving in traffic once. My eyes blurry from sunscreen. That was 10 years ago. Since that time I have had two little learners permit drivers hit me. My car before this one I have now was reported as being totaled and I got 1400. for it. It was a 98 Bonnivile. Just was sad to let go of something you kind of considered home on wheels. Not that I ever had to live in one of my vehicles. However, I do believe that on some level letting go of a car/truck/van ...a part of you goes off with that machinery on wheels!😢 Once I donated a vehicle and they took the darn thing on my bday! Was a bummer!

Had a cute chawawa left her in the car with the windows rolled down to go visit my friend in the hospital when I went back to my car the dog police had my dog and gave me a ticket for not having water in-car....I forgot I had court about it so I missed my court date when I finally got pulled over for speeding in a school zone unknowingly I had a warrant and did 6 days in jail for a dog that I no longer had any more

People please don’t ever leave your dog in a hot car. If I personally see this shit I will break the window to get the dog out.

I have called the police on people for leaving their kids and for dogs left in cars when it is hot or it is cold.

I have confronted people who have arrived back at their car before the police arrived and told them I have called the police and provided their license plate number.

This shit is real.  It doesn't take long for hypothermia or heat stroke to happen.

I will do it again.

And now that the law allows private citizens to bust the windows to rescue kids and animals from hot cars, I won't hesitate to break your windows and call the police.

It doesn’t matter that the windows were rolled down.  The temperature inside a car still increases significantly without air conditioning or air moving through the car while a car is driving down the street.

I was about 8 and my grand paw gave me a pee shooter. Hay, what could go wrong.

I got the shooter in one hand and pees in the other. After brain storming , I figured if one pee was fun then  a mouthful would be better.

RITE!!!

Crouching behind a car, I hear a car coming, I pop up, and letm go. To be honest I, didn't know it was a cop.

So there I was, an 8 year old, being chased by a pissed off, one eyed cop. I wiuld have got away, but he was a friend of my dads.

My ass was sore for two weeks.

This. Even if the windows are rolled down the car still increases in temperature being stationary. If you can’t take your dog into where you’re going leave them at home or don’t own a dog.

Right??? There are too many people on the road afraid of driving. Ugh! We just need to make sure we have an Escort or Passport suctioned to the windshield. Or go up to the track.

My run ins with LE include 3 warnings for speeding (2 were within a 24 hour time frame ), and I did get one ticket about 15 years ago.
