Venmo--any experience? Any good things to say about it?

79 posts in this topic

But can't you do the Venmo transaction before playing? I wouldn't use Venmo because it leaves a trace, but I've used Venmo when going out with friends and sharing a bill, for example. It takes one second for one person to send and one second for the other to accept, and once the money is transferred it can't be cancelled. Obviously if he sends before playing but you don't accept it right there, he could cancelled upon leaving your incall.

Just a reminder Venmo is owned by PayPal. I don’t mind either but k is there have been issues with providers and PayPal. And if you get caught and your account is killed in Venmo they’ll kill your PayPal if there’s a way to connect the dots.

I love Venmo!! Just make sure you hurry and transfer to your bank! Make all transactions private and for stuff like pizza, coffee, food, etc etc.

Have any questions feel free to pm me!

I wouldn't use the Venmo for clients to pay for appts unless like Amber said, it is with someone you trust. I do know that cam girls use it, but that is because they have small amounts being charged to them in the form of mundane things like groceries, etc. so it doesn't ding Paypal's radar. Until that money is in that account then transferred to another account, I wouldn't play. I wouldn't take anything but good ole' cash from newbies until they show they can be trusted. Sad that we have to be that way, but someone always has to ruin the fun for everyone else.

I only use PayPal and cashapp. Which cashapp is square like vemo is PayPal. Glad to know I need to cash out before session. Only problem I had was one time PAYPAL made me wait 24 to cash out to my bank. Which was fishy to me since it's never done that before.

E-gift cards are good Ladies. I only except the ones I like. For those ladies wanting cash can get the MasterCard or visa e gift cards.

Cash is the best..

But l am sure some idiot has paid with fake bills.

It's all a risk. Cards can be blank and unless you check the balance in front of the visitor your out of luck.

I really do not understand, why a guy needs to pay, with anything other than cash. There are thousands of ATMs in Denver. If you have time, and money, to set up a Paypal, or Venmo transaction, get cash from an ATM instead!

It's not rocket surgery!

Because cash is inconvenient. I don’t generally carry cash ever. Outside of this I have almost no use for coins or nodes. I bank out of state and literally haven’t stepped foot it or any other bank in almost a decade. So depending on where I’m coming from or going I have to plan to hit an ATM, and even more remember where they are. I also recently ran into an issue where I’d gotten a new card and pin and since I rarely use either these days I essentially locked my card up because I couldn’t for the life of me remember the number and am now waiting for a new pin to arrive.  I have everything setup on my phone, pc, and macbook and with a couple of taps funds are instantly transferred or moved. Yes i can be a dick and do something to negate the transaction just as people can short providers or do other nefarious things with cash. But if you’re asking why without snark, it’s because cash for me is annoyingly inconvenient.

Clearly, you've arranged your life, so that cash is inconvenient. It's not inherently inconvenient. I doubt I would ever do that, as I have no reason to avoid cash, and it works great, especially for escorts!

Talking out my behind here, but scanning over the help pages for Venmo, appears that you can create an account, get  money sent toit, but can be immediately cancelled if you don't complete your account setup. Big thing, aside from a valid email and phone number, your SSN. Aka they are trying to catch any odd money laundering type situation. MAYBE OP account was not fully vetted yet, hence this particular situation?

I didn’t need my SSN to create my account. Nor did I have to put in a phone number. I even know people with special characters as their username which is annoying. Maybe things have changed since I did mine??

You asked a question as to why anyone would not want to use cash and I simply answered. I’m not avoiding cash just have no desire to carry it unless I’m driving long distances and keep a stash in the off chance I have car trouble or some other mishap in a remote location and need cash or participating in this activity. So yes, it’s an inconvenience for me.

I’ve done it. It’s easy and convenient. I’ve only done it for folks I trust though. Just as an FYI you can gift anonymously (giver and Receiver) with Amazon. That works great for deposits.

I order checks the other day for the first time in many years! The bank person laughed with me on the phone because I had to explain I think I lost them? No telling

Cash is dying.  Yes there are ATM’s but clearly paying with plastic has beaten cash and now electronic payments are making their move.  I still only pay providers with cash, but I can see the writing on the wall.

Unless something comes out in the next year or so that states they are Provider friendly, I'm not going to risk getting my bank account/prepaid card (Even if its only NetSpend) frozen. Until then, cash only:)

Cash will be around as long as there are escorts, gigolos,  mistresses, and dr*g buyers and sellers. If it's outside normal lawful transactions, cash is the best option.

Image result for thumbs up

I’ve been working in tech for over 20 years.  You get used to those predictions of things never changing not panning out.  Online sales would never fly because it’s too hard to make returns.  CD’s will always be around because people want to own their music.  Nobody will ever need more than a 500 MHz computer and 56k is fast enough.  Remember when texting was no way to make an appointment with a provider?  Now it’s preferred.

OK, I'm just an old cowboy here, but I'll toss in my thoughts for what they may or may not be worth:  Cash may be a lot of things, but I have never found it to be inconvenient.  In fact, I have a sincere affection for those little portraits of Ulisses and Benjamin, they have given themselves up for so many nice things I have received in return.  I just love the warm fuzzy feeling I get when I have a bunch of them sitting down there, warming my wallet, discussing among themselves how best to make me happy.

Although I have plenty of plastic, I love to go to the ATM and take out a $300 cash bonus every Friday, just for being such a good boy, that I can spend as I wish, totally untraceable and legal tender for all debts, both public and private.  Just like an honest-to-God cowboy on payday.

There is no "typical" in this world...every companion business will be run a different way. So always best to never assume, read a provider's website and inquire directly of THEM individually vs asking random strangers on a board with , like, 100-200 different business models. Assumptions in this industry is what causes unnecessary confusion, misunderstandings, frustration a mass of "opinions" vs facts in many cases.

Plus to note: some cash apps out there are very SWer unfriendly and providers may simply use them "undercover"  The more discussion about a specific app or company there is in public hobby forums, the more likelihood these companies will lock sh&^ down.

Access to banking and financial services is a big subject right now to providers with legislation currently on the table...

Cash is king but not always 100% doable in relation to traveling or touring ladies who need deposits in the new environment nor ATM cash amount limits for some clients.

That being said, if a companion uses alternative or creative methods.. they better have their act together super well with discretion, accountability and screening as not to be taken by chargebacks, outing anyone in a Venmo "friends" section that is public and offering a solid written policy on deposit / pre-pay situations that is agreed to by both parties..

There's much more at stake in this industry than a $2 V%nmo to your friend for paying for their coffee....

Sometimes I get an iffy feeling when someone insists or right away asks about Venmo. I try not to be this way but if it’s someone I haven’t met I assume they’re trying to pull one on me. Cash is king is totally right. What’s so hard about going to the atm? I don’t see the difference in sending Venmo vs withdrawing money. Both have paper trails.

Is venmo typically accepted?

No

Can you clarify why you would think that?

Maybe as a deposit for a extended amount of time that is being prebooked. If you were flying me to you. I would then except that form of payment.

The every day meetings are a cash only business. I'm not dealing with anything else and prefer the benjimens in my hand.

I am suspicious of venmo and paypal anymore after having an angey wife reverse a transaction and PayPal shutting my account down real quick.... now i feel like every guy who wants to use venmo is trying to get a free ride 🤦‍♀️

But i will say with cashapp there are no reversals!!
