I’m from the Houston area. And we have a strip like this . Not as long as colfax. But it’s very busy at all times of the day. Bissonet, you will see anything and everything.

so I was curious, are there certain streets or strip clubs that the girls gravitate on colfax?

This would be Outing a specific location and/or cross streets; wouldn't be allowed. Per rule.

I’ve heard stories of colfax, and it seems very similar to Dallas's notorious Harry Hines.  Since the fosta ordeal Harry Hines has lit all the way up.  A few Dallas ladies have told me they have made well over 2k in any given day/night.  So I imagine colfax is active.

Damn I haven't heard about Harry Hines in a very long time. I'm sure there's girls working colfax and getting plenty of business. Wherever there are needs to be met, there are happy hookers to oblige. Not everyone is picky at a certain time of night, and some girls like that kind of action. I'm not one of them, but hey, get in where you fit in.

Haha yep and it doesn't seem to have changed much yet from that since the gentrification started. Remember Market street use to be the Red Light District back in the day.

North of Park ave. it was... thats why the bankers and other businesses forced the city to change the name there to Walnut street so as not to be associated with it. That is why now when you travel north on Market, then cross Park, you will see that you are now on Walnut....geez

So we are going to burn East Colfax to flush out escorts? :D

We? No we aren’t burning anything, except our self dignity just like WE do when we close the bars down on tequila. Stay yourselves.

East Colfax Update:

Visiting one of my favorite "ghetto" eateries from my childhood..( same location 20+ yrs) I decided to take the 25 mile an hour slow stroll from Downtown to Aurora and to Sit by the window and watch.

Management walks half a block behind his best seller, And Sits at the very same pick up spot anxiously waiting a return. 3 times in 40 minutes I watched this rotation.

About 3-4 different "tastes" avoiding the sun alongside The shadows of Buildings. 1 smart cookie collecting Applicatons via Obama flip phone( I Too did not believe they still made them Until I saw her Flip it closed with Confidence).

And I saw Soooo many different interactions through Out my purposeful extended lunch.

Happy Early Drinkers enjoying each others company, sharing with one another. So Nice!

A squad car traffic stop, resulting in an unsuccessful tow..and  I even saw a Bike Sale!

Bottom line is  East Colfax has New life, Old life and The same expectations it always has.. Just have to sit back and watch :)

My tattoo parlor is on east Colfax (of course), and so I get to spend a fair amount of time there.  I think it is fascinating.  If my wife dumps me, I might just move there because it has such a vast array of interesting people.  It is getting pretty gentrified, mainly due to the cost of the homes in the area, so there are a lot of nice restaurants and galleries, etc., moving in, along with the gentry, but the same old hobos, streetwalkers, junkies and drunks are still there too, along with an influx of artists, musicians, 420 Tourists (the ones from Oklahoma are so amusing), just plain old folk and, of course, tattoo addicts.  I really like the place.  Thanks for your insights, Chrissy.  Maybe we could just go people watching some day (it's fun to sit and make snarky comments about the pedestrians over a couple of drinks).

Doesn’t apply if you have a solid reputation and P411.  Just will need to show your gang signs to display your status😂😂

That's some funny shi** right there!

I love East Colfax to people watch, it's like a drug. So many interesting things going on ALL the time!

Good food, (ghetto eateries lol) nice people (most of them) and great scenery if you pay attention! So many good things on Colfax if you pay attention and keep an open mind....

In the early 80's I did an electrical job there that really changed my perspective on people in general. I hated it at the time but looking back on it, I'm glad it happened to me. It made me appreciate where I am now versus where I was then. Not that I'm trying to be snarky, at the time I was young and very naive but it opened my eyes to how many people go about their lives in the inner city. It made me appreciate my "comfy" life in the "burbs"
