What is your dream vacation?

I'd love to spend the better part of a year in the upper Rhine and up and down the Danube capped by a visit to St Petersburg, Russia. As I hear it, every central/eastern European city is its own gem.

It is not where I go, it is who I am with.

I’m a simple man, I really don’t have a desire to leave Colorado let alone the USA.  I do however really want to take a cruise up the west coast to Alaska.  I went to Alaska in July of ‘96 and it was amazing but I was only 14.  If I could go experience it again as an adult, I’m sure it will be even better.  I didn’t do a cruise when I was there and in fact, have never been on a cruise ship so this would be the dream vacation for me.

I spent a week in Paris, I saw Versailles and the Lourve.  I was the only person that did not want to see another baby Jesus and the modonna painting.  I know burn me at the stack. The sculpture rooms at the Met in NY were amazing, and much more interesting.  I love Scottish beer, dark and malty, so that sounds good to me!!

If you really like sculpture, visit Florence or Rome (in that order).  The best sculpture garden I’ve found in CONUS was New Orleans.

... I also really have been wanting to visit Scotland. I adore the culture and especially the men. A man in a kilt with whiskey on his lips makes me weak in the knees every time. I also really want to experience haggis. :)

I’ve looked at Scotland from Hadrian’s Wall, but never set foot in it.  That all ends next month when after 2 weeks in Ireland, I get to spend 2+ weeks in Scotland. Including a visit to ancestral haunts.

For some reason, I’ve never really been interested in Gaul.

I spent three days in Florence... During my trip there I was more interested in architecture, then I was just the sculptures.  But, of course I had to see David.

I found Donatello’s Mary Magdeline much more interesting.

There were some tempting swinger cruises exhibited at Mile High Exxxotica this year. Been invited on the porn industry cruise. But..to have a real vacation from it all...the Blues Cruise  looks very tempting.  Love that blues music. :)

I was an artist model for many years, I held some very difficult poses for my sculpture classes, so each one I admoire from the models point of view.
