I recently contacted a lady from AS, she started asking for screening info. I told her I'd PM her from this account and answer most of what she wanted. She asked for face and D pic. I hesitated, but eventually sent the requested pics. 

Now for the fucked up part, with all my screening info she was able to find me on Facebook, LinkedIn, company.[not linked phone number] she sent pics of my SO, family, work and then sent me screen shots of our conversation and demanded $1000.  I agreed to pay, she then upped it to $3000. I paid the ransom and it has went away. (Been a month)

Be careful guys. I'll still see new girls, but won't be jumping through screening hoops for new ladies.

With something like that you should be letting everyone know who it is I know that's kind of against the rules but this is egregious. I do know that you would have problems reporting it to the police but others wouldn't

This is so fucked up and I have heard of a Provider blackmailing a gentleman and she also asked for around that same amount. 

Please back channel this info because she absolutely does not belong in our community.  

Now how do you know she won’t hit you up again?  Isn’t that extortion and couldn’t you have gone to the police?

I'll just pray she doesn't come back.  It did suck losing the money but it was cheap compared to the alternative.

See, this is what pisses me off is when girls do this because I rely on this for you to come through my door, and I won't relent because I have been burned by being loose with screening. I would never do this to somebody because I would never want them to do it to me. Some people are just seriously evil and callous.

Turn her into Adult Search, and make sure that if she advertises anywhere that she is held accountable there too. TNA, TOB, and other places still require reviews...make sure you write no, and if people ask, tell them the situation. This is the kind of stuff we need to stop in its tracks before someone gets hurt.

Sorry this happened to you, and just know that there are good ladies out there that would never treat their potential clients this way. We are smart enough to know that it never pays to play dirty.

I was attempting to get screened by a lady on here a couple of weeks ago.  I offered to share my references, she said don't bother, she just wanted me to text her a copy of my drivers license. Didn't make sense, why turn away references in favor of an image I could easily down load from the internet.  I declined her request.  Maybe I dodged a bullet.

Wow, this thread is all over the place, per usual when this topic pops up.

To piggy back, and reverse piggy back, on other comments, yeah, dumb (imo) to send real pic, license, work info, etc. Do understand ladies' concerns re: screening, but one evil perpetrator messes it up for every one, and makes guys gun shy to play along with the legit ladies.

Unfortunately, don't think we'll be finding a happy medium any time soon, and tying into a different thread, will see more whining about how hard it is now.

I'm a pretty open person, but I also would have declined to send a copy of my drivers license.  I've had my identity stolen twice in the past year.  It all got cleared up but what a pain.  My hope is that my TOB identity is enough for the ladies I'd like to see.  So far, it's worked and I've met some lovely ladies.

For the original poster, it sucks that this happened.  I don't believe on piling on when the chips are down.  As some others have said, I have made enough mistakes in my life.  I never found it helpful for someone to say, "You idiot.  How could you have done that !!"  After I've goofed up, I already feel bad enough on my own and don't need someone to add to it.  And I will probably continue to make mistakes and they will, hopefully, become learning experiences.

An aside, and to tie into the thread re: meta data in pictures...

Remember, if taking selfies for verification with the cell phone, GPS is probably on and will get embedded into the pic. Add in Google Image search that might turn up "similar images" results, might be providing a ton of info that makes it easy to track you down (eg. that selfie might be giving bad people your home address and or social media info).

This is why I always say, give zero, just to be sure that's zero personal information when screening. hobby name with reviews, hobby phone, and references if you have them. if anyone wants more than that move to the next name on your list.

As many of you know, I am one of the few providers who do not partake in the typical "screening" methods (references, etc)  However, when someone that I've never seen before contacts me requesting outcall (me travel to them) I do require a pic of their I.D.   I tell them they can black out or redact the number, the DOB and their address - all I care to see is the photo and their name.  The reason for this is quite simple = 95% of busts/stings are outcalls (because LE has control of the surroundings in an outcall set up vs them showing up to the provider's location where they have no idea who is under the bed, in the closet, etc.)  I don't accept references because they are not reliable and I don't understand the logic in asking a complete stranger to vouch for another.    That is the only scenario wherein I do ask for ID.

Sorry I hit "enter" prematurely...  Anyway, with his real name, I can more effectively determine whether or not he his LE.  Also, if he is asking me to come to a hotel, I can verify that the room is booked in his name (most stings are not gonna be in a officer's individual name).  That's the only way I will do outcall for someone I haven't met before and it is IMO the only logical method to reasonably be certain it isn't a sting.  Just my 2 cents.

I don't buy this for a minute.  And btw way, what this 'OP' claims this 'girl' asked for...is NOT screening. Likely OP is trying to cause trouble for legitimate ladies and gents. Bottom line is,  if you don't like the idea of screening, don't indulge! No one will miss you! Don't like screening, then clearly this 'hobby' is not for you since that is part of the legitimate hobby.  Safety has been practiced by professional providers since TOB began and likely before that, in some form via other advertising venues. That is going back at least 20 years. This post, I see,  just shows the climate of tob after the changes (The Other Backpage).  Sounds like the OP is trying nothing other than to cause trouble for legitimate ladies and gents. Anyone can just sign up on here and start posting.
