Loss of reviews

46 posts in this topic

I am disappointed with the loss of information lost with no more reviews.

I miss trying to find somebody close or a provider that is receptive to DATY. Can we make an ill conceived assumption that providers with bare are open to that to that

The only you can assume is....you know the rest.

Never assume. Safer that way.

As I said fore ALL providers needs website (no I don't kow which is cheapest to create, host or maintain.) But without info I'm sure not gonna book with a provider I haven't seen. Of course that excludes TOB regulars.

A website is about that individual or whatever is being marketed. If I was a client I would be talking to other clients  who have experienced the lady in the past. I would also be looking for websites. I also like the idea of trying to connect through phone conversations and emails. So much goes into making it a quality experience .  I do know of some very established ladies  in this biz who don't have websites for whatever reason be it whatever. These ladies have made a choice not to have a personal website. Ladies will often use their P411 or TOB link. That's cool! That too can show that they 're established.

I've been wondering about the reasons for not having a website, especially for new ladies. There are so many free services available like Wix or Google Sites or Weebly. Even a very very simple 1 page website, with 1 picture and 1 paragraph would be better than nothing. A few words about the service and key information like: Location and Donations would save them a lot of time.

But... I'm sure there are many reasons I don't know. Maybe it's for possible legal liabilities?

Adult services are against the terms of service on all those sites, and they've been actively deleting any escort sites they find.

With the new changes and new laws, I have taken down the descriptions of what "services" I offer just because it just doesn't feel safe for me to have it advertised. Especially when I am thinking about retiring. Also, most who have seen me know the extent of what I offer.

Having had websites deleted in the past, detailed descriptions are hard to add to websites. Reach out to the lady and ask her about her services. Also TOB reviews may be limited but ask those who have seen her before. Working together in this industry is important to keep us all safe and happy.

Do the newbies even have a concept of how good they have it today?

(Yeah, walk 10mi to school in the snow, uphill both ways🤪)

Just a score of years ago finding even one person to discuss ‘the hobby’ with was a treasure.  Reviews? Online advertising? PICTURES?

Sorry, but I’m getting tired of the whining about the loss. Hey, it’s one step back after three forward. Life goes on!

(Though I do understand & lament the general loss of civil rights SOSA/FESTA represents.)

I've been a member her for a few years after I was introduced to the board by a lady I had visited who cross posted on several sites. For the longest time, I didn't participate in the forums or even read them much. I thought it was a bit too much "inside baseball."

Then SESTA/FOSTA hit and I turned to this community to find a way to navigate. I'm no internet novice. I've been in this game far too long to freak out, but there's a lot of value in contemporaneous information and personal relationships. TOB's forum is invaluable and even the merest mentions of experiences and hints at where to learn more can keep one from despair.

Don't get me wrong, we all need to practice a level of forensics now. There are no real freebies any more. You get back more than you put in.

Lurkers gonna lurk. Maybe they never publicly post, but if they read, they will learn something from guys who have the callouses of experience.

I haven't even been around that long and I agree 100% with you.

If the newbies stopped, read the websites, and wasn't so concerned on "I can come now" we wouldn't have that many problems. Just last night I had someone text me at 3am saying "hey I'm passing 104th now, no screen visit?" uhm excuse me? No.

It gets old to hear this same old song, we are lucky to be here and everyone needs to realize that and stop whining already and stop trying to create another reason why they take what we have left away....It is starting to seem like those who are whining the loudest are actually a part of what has caused this problem to happen in the first place...They have no clue or regard for what it actually took to create a place where the hobby could be discussed openly as it once was and  how  it had absolutely nothing to do with personal gain nor was it driven by profits, thats for damned sure....It was destroyed by those who were motivated by those things and the fact that they fail to see that is going to be what destroys the last few remaining places that are left and that is the only reason why things are as they are here today, so enough already....

There are so many reasons why  some ladies chose not to have websites. I think the biggest reason is because they think they’re only going to stick around for a short time and why would you pay for something if you only plan on doing this for a few months. Many other ladies work “ under the raider”.

Intrestingly enough, we all come with our own warning buttons! Now where is it located? Each lady has it in a different spot on them! Good luck on locating them!😁

In the past, reaching out and asking the provider about services offered would often lead to a prompt cutoff of communication from that provider to "protect" them from a sting. I'm not sure how the providers are reacting in the current environment. Since there seems to be a lack of information out there, would providers be more willing to reply to inquiries as to what services are offered?

I've very rarely asked what services are offered, instead i was going by reviews and what was suggested by a provider on her site. Also, at the time of meeting, I'd ask what her limitations are.

I'm sure I'll get flamed for this, lots of flamersw here,  but, I very seldom click on a providers website, and just skip them.  Websites must be very expensive because they're services are always 200 or more HH and 400 or more for an hour. I can't afford that.

It depends on the provider. Personally, email and answers will come. It's scary out there and one can't be too careful. Screening first helps the provider feel safer but I guess one can't be too careful. Most who email are more than happy to provide enough information to confirm they aren't LE or part of a sting so it's easier to answer questions. Emailing or chatting helps to erase that fear and wall.

Look at east coast cities or Chicago.  You’ll find rates in $500+ range.

Well, I kind of realize that but I guess the flamers will call me whining, I just hope I don't have to give up on this sport because I can't afford it.

For the first time ever I saw a lady who advertised her price then when I got there she said that wasn't for full service and tried to upsell me with almost double

For me that would earn a “Recommend = NO!”

Sorry you got upsold.

I would guess you met with a “new” lady who has gravitated here from BP after it was shutdown or she might have been a visiting provider.

Review this provider and give her a NO recommendation.

Are you going to do this for the rest of your life? No possibly not. Three years? Yes, I paid three years for my website.  That was a choice I made and when I decided to get back in the business I decided to go all out.  I am not very computer savvy that much I can for sure tell you! As for sticking around doing this? I am like all the other ladies, we will do it for as long as we feel we should. :)
