He wanted to do a shoot immediately and get a contract signed. I declined because that's not something of interest to me. Here is the message I received by text. You can't get one of those with no notice in Colorado,let alone on a weekend ! Industry standard and if he is for real..he would know that. ( Condoms without a HIV/STD test should really get your spidey sense tingling. In adult video industry, that is a HUGE no-no ) Agree that those prices cannot be real. If he is offering checks,you will not see any money. Anybody can drop the website name ,but there is no home office number on it to confirm his identity. Speaking of which, did you get his porn name as well as his real one ? (yes directors/producers do use an alais ) Interesting that he would wait until the offices are closed for the weekend to contact you. What sort of IDs did he ask you to bring to the set ?? If he said credit cards with a drivers license are ok....run. A lot of red flags on this one. But not to someone that has never been on a porn set. There are hundreds of ladies and guys for that matter eagerly seeking them out and unless you are the Octo-Mom or a Kardashian, it is unlikely they will be seeking you out. A few years ago, some schmuck was using the "BangBros" name trying to solicit providers to shoot amateur scenes for that company. Needless to say he was a fraud, but a handful of girls were tricked into falling for his bullshit. ( STD/HIV tests ) . Never ever have I heard of anyone booking a girl sight unseen. ( no face shots ) . Shooting porn became legal with what is known as the Hal Freeman Act. When I met Hal during the Adult Film Association years ( which evolved into Adult Video Association and is now Free Speech Coalition ) ,it was legal to exhibit porn in theaters ( this was obviously pre VHS ) ,but not to make them. Thanks to Hal and his lawyers taking the fight to legally make them ,its now legal .That does NOT mean someone whips out a video camera as a defense. There is currently a long list of things one has to adhere to,including having a shooting permit and having a business license. Posted June 3, 2018 (edited) I do remember that Colorado did have production companies that did shoot only adult movies. I don’t know if there are any companies that are still Colorado based. To be a legal business, they must have all the required permits...state and federal tax permits, on location permits depending on where they are shooting, fire inspection permits, etc....just like any other business that wants to conduct business here in Colorado or anywhere in the United States. The spam emails that surface every so often offering the ladies quick money like this one are scams. Just like the emails offering the ladies business management services or to go work a brothel for a month and make $30-100k.
