Life's Soundtrack

17 posts in this topic

How about something different here than the issues and the complaining of a few parties.

I think that most people have those certain songs that feel like they should be the soundtrack of their lives.  Not because it has a beat and you can dance to it but because it really speaks to you, it touches your soul.  The music that you have to stop and listen closely to no matter how many times you have listened to it before.  So here is my list, top five and honorable mentions.

#1 (With A Bullet) Wrong Side of Heaven by FFDP

#2  Turn the Page by Bob Seger

#3  Something to Believe in by Poison

#4  Flirtin with disaster by Molly Hatchet

#5  Sound of Silence especially the cover by Disturbed

Honorable Mentions:

Here's to us by Halestorm

Duel by Bond  (When the soundtrack needs instrumentals)

Would by Alice in Chains

Nothing Else Matters by Metallica

Only God know why by Kid Rock

So there is a peak into the darkness of my mind.  Award yourself 1 point for every title you recognize, an additional point for each that you can hear in your mind and a bonus 5 points if you get them all right.

Anyone else want to play??????

Every year, as the touch of gray gets even moreso, this song touches me more, it's pondering of mortality gives me pause.  But...  I will get by......

P.S., by the authority vested in me, I proclaim this the greatest music video ever made:

Not to rain on your parade, but Wild Horses was inspired by the writer's relationship with his kid.
