I saw on switter, a lady is living in her car with her son because she has lost all her income when BP and CL closed.  The struggle is real, and my heart breaks for them all!!!

Laci thank you for being a sensitive and caring woman. Currently I'm dealing with the same provider who is trying to smear shit in my face regarding my daughter's suicide. She actually has the balls to be telling other ladies here that I used my daughter's death to engage sympathy from clients. Well first of all , I keep everything separate when it comes to my personal life. What I've been through has been tough enough but I am still the most positive, happy and encouraging individual as my clients will attest. I did not get great reviews from pity.  Jut shows how we can either build each other up or tear each other down. I know what I am and wish that others were more like us.

Sapphire

xoxo

Not quite in the same area, but COYOTE may be helpful for some:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COYOTE

COYOTE is an American rights organization. Its name is a backronym for Call Off Your Old Tired Ethics, a reflection of the fact that sex work tends to be stigmatized primarily because of society-imposed standards of ethics. COYOTE's goals include the decriminalization (as opposed to the legalization) of prostitution, pimping and pandering, as well as the elimination of social stigma concerning sex work as an occupation.

COYOTE provides counseling and legal referrals for sex workers

Very familiar with Coyote. They do good work.  Went to one of their fund raising balls long ago .

First of all,  THANK YOU TOB MODS for deleting the troll that I was informed about . Didn't read his hate, thankfully,as I have been off TOB while dealing with the loss of a good friend to suicide.

I did not identify her name as its always been a policy of mine not to without her family's permission. They grieve for the loss of their daughter,wife,sister,mother...not adding to it by having anyone judge her for her occupation.

A bit of a background  on us ,and mods,I will have to go against TOB policy by mentioning how I knew her. Please do not delete or edit it as there are ladies out there that can relate and need the advice not to go down her path.

My main occupation for decades has been as a booking agent for ladies on the feature dancer circuit, being a mild mannered reporter was always part time. The lady that took her life was ,along with her partner, a very popular attraction on the circuit for years and banked some serious cash.  This part of the industry is for the young . As she aged and her looks faded, no longer being the center of attention among men, her vanity started to play games with her mind. Just as we had spent hours talking about the pitfalls and how short time this carer would be.We spent even more time talking in person and on the phone about how to move on and embrace her future. It was her choice to escort part time, not mine ,to satisfy her ego and income.

I  didn't know it,she was probably too embarrassed to say it,but she lost her full time job and started relying on escorting to pay her bills. Allegedly ,she was so distraught about not being able to make any money as her avenues of advertising dried up and her real life job applications did not pan out . (She lived in Pasadena, not Denver ) .  Unlike her dance partner, she never saved any of her money from her dancing years nor did she seek out any higher education. Distraught because she had no money in the bank and feeling that eviction would lead to living on the streets, she took her life instead of reaching out to her family and friends.

With the new laws in place  and times getting tougher instead of better. Stay strong on screening, save your money and have a backup employment plan if you don't have one already. Stay strong and do not be embarrassed to reach out to your family, friends and peer group. They will be there when you need them.

it's bad out here for a lot of us. especially the ones who only recently broke free from an agency and those of us who don't offer.... the full course.

potential of losing our homes, vehicles, work spaces and ability to pay our way in society.

praying for a miracle, praying more find us and praying or the ladies truly suffering.

let's band together and fight through this.

I heard about them in the 70s and contribute to the cause now & then. They have major cred with me and being a survivor of the 60s, their full name echoes well for me from the times.

I prefer to live very utr...I speak to one provider regularly with exception of a provider  who contacted me recently and it’s unusual times at the moment!

i mean this with all my heart if there’s something I’m capable of offering during this time I am more than happy to help!

We all have suffered loss, bullying, etc. heck I’ve experienced my fair share trust me...we ladies can stick together in support of each other in attempt to be friendly and keep each other safe!

Ladies I live utr, but know  I’m reference friendly and happy to assist any way possible!

Peace & safety!

hugs!
