What I know for sure

1. TOB has been very, very good to me and for me.  As long as it is up and running, I will be here.  A big, big thank you to the owners/mods for a largely thankless job very well done.  If there is anything I can do to help keep the place afloat, I will.

2. The justification the feds use for taking down sites - under age and trafficking - do happen at some sites and those sites DESERVE to be taken down and owners prosecuted.   However the mods here have always kept it out and been extremely responsive to possible issues brought to their attention.

3. The most kind hearted, most giving, and delightful ladies I have ever met have all been escorts.  Many of them I met via ads on Backpage, and then helped convince a few to become members here.

4. The best part of this place has always been the good folks - both ladies and guys - watching out for each other and having each others back.  This is no time to let stress and turmoil change that.  Stick together people!!

5. I can be a grumpy asshole at times, yes I can. But I have always at least tried to be helpful especially to newbies with the deer in headlights look about them.  Not going to change now.  If ever the inexperienced needed a bit of help and guidance it is now.

6. Blaming the women that advertised on BP for its legal troubles and being taken down is the height of misdirected blame and is just plain wrong.  Were there too many scammers, up sellers and rip offs?  Yes. Is that why BP was taken down?  Hell no.  It was a series of very poor choices by the owners and their actions drove much of the push for the turd laws recently enacted. But do not lose sight of the fact that there were many wonderful ladies doing their best to provide good service and make a living who also advertised there.  Have a little sympathy and consideration because many are hurting.

7. P411 - see number 1 above.  Ditto.

8. As a community we suck at clearly and persuasively communicating to the rest of the world and effectively lobbying for it and voting accordingly.  "It" being legalize consensual transactions between adults and pursue with a frantic vengeance those that coerce, force, abduct, or mistreat any lady but especially those that are vulnerable or underage.  Speak out about it and mean it.

9. I will be eternally grateful to the many fine ladies I have met while here and that have beyond all reason and belief been willing to hang with and be intimate with a funny looking, grumpy, older pain in the ass like me.  You know who you are, you are special and I thank you.  Makes me grin thinking about you.

10. There is a special place in hell for guys that coerce, threaten, cheat and degrade ladies that they perceive to be in a position where they have to put up with this bullshit or that believe the ladies are somehow deserving of scorn and abuse.  To those guys - Godspeed on your way to your final destination and may it be soon. (Too harsh - hey, I said I can be an asshole)

I am sure I am forgetting something, but hopefully someone will fill in the blanks.  Lastly, everybody needs a cheering up and nothing does that for me' (well except for .... you know) like music.  This little number gets me going and seems site appropriate.  If you all have better suggestions let them fly.  Have a great night y'all and hope some of you get laid!!

As for the written part of your post.Agree 100%. However, I saw this coming .First,they go after print publications for running escort ads,  so obviously , it was just a matter of time until they got to the internet.  The workshop/conference about this was interesting,but had its share of facts and smoke & mirrors. (packed house btw )

Sadly,the feds are taking this approach.If they made it 100% legal,they would erase our national debt. But no..they prefer it to go underground. Considering the number of alleged sex scandals,you would think politicians would embrace it going legal, But no..they listen to the moral minority.

Its mid term election year.Look up your local representatives that passed this and vote them OUT of office.
