Posted March 28, 2018 An offshore based, not under US jurisdiction, twitter alternative for us is up and running. https://switter.at is based in Austria where sex work is all legal, and is getting a lot of traffic already even though it's been online less than a day. While twitter hasn't come down hard on sex work like many other platforms, it's probably only a matter of time. Just wanted to share... I'm @furiousweasel there too. I know some are allergic to social media, others aren't. There's even mobile apps for it out there for android and iphone.
Posted March 28, 2018 I just joined. The interface on Chrome looks remarkably like tweetdeck. I'm the same @eatu55 everywhere! Thanks for the tip.

I hope those that are not allergic to social media all come join! @sweetkarizmatic

Posted March 29, 2018 Can anyone actually figure out where the company switter is based? Not the domain, but the company itself. A few things about offshore domains and data. Th first being the US can request access to the data. The hosting government has to consent though. Some countries actually have openness to the US when it comes to data access so just because it’s legal there doesn’t give a free pass here. Finally, The Cloud Act is being pushed through which means even more so that offshore data (data hosted in another country) but controlled by a US based company can be subject to forfeiture of that data.
Posted March 29, 2018 Another thing to be concerned about is that offshore communications are subject to NSA eavesdropping. I’m not sure if they even need a FISA warrant. ???

Nothing about them is US based. They're a group of tech people and escorts in Australia I think. Posted March 29, 2018 OK, so if I were to sign up for a switter account, how would I find Denver fellow switters? Should be exchange addresses now since our usual method of communication (TOB) could vanish at any time?

Should be exchange addresses now since our usual method of communication (TOB) could vanish at any time? I'd say just like twitter. Find someone you know, then look through they follow for names that are familiar. For example, here's my profile: https://switter.at/@FuriousWeasel and you can see the names I've found so far under who I follow. There's a handful from here so far I've found...

Posted March 29, 2018 Read some interesting things about this site on Twitter today. I’m spamming everywhere I can about TOB. Hope everyone else is as well. We have a fantastic board here and should all be spreading the word.
Posted March 29, 2018 Don't be so mysterious - what did you read on twitter? Also, how does spreading the word help out? Not trying to be a critic, you know I love you, just want more information.
