unwritten rule on reviews - should be written?

7 posts in this topic

As someone that has hung around here probably way too long it seems to me there was always an unwritten, but understood anyway, rule that you do NOT submit reviews that state a sexual activity for amp's or other massage businesses.  Obvious reason being they are low hanging fruit for LE anyway without reviews being posted confirming that certain activities are indeed being conducted.  Was I just delusional in thinking everyone understood and adhered to that "policy"?  Perhaps an actual policy is called for?  Or am I full of crap?  Thoughts anyone?

Never understood it as well. Why should AMPs get special treatment vs. the other ladies out there? My vote, review them, if you want. Share info, if you want. Personally, I have issues with AMPs due to not knowing what the ladies' situations are, so don't care if an AMP gets shutdown (no skin off my back).

Now, where things start to get interesting going forward is ads on Backpage therapeutic section: body rubbers have moved to there, and seeing more escort ads there as well now. In the past, there's always the warning from mods re: legit massage therapists and outing them and getting them in trouble. There probably needs to be some easing up on these warning. For example, there is a lady advertising here with a different number than she has used in the past to advertise more legit massage on BP. My take, if someone put up a 411 on the legit ad, I would point them to her ad on here, but mods might not like that.

An explicit review of an AMP/brothel is akin to including an ASP’s incall address in your review. With their fixed location they become low hanging fruit for LE. As for the work situation of AMP ladies, consider that of “managed” ladies in other venues(BP?).

I am in agreement with the proposed  guideline.

We had six Massage therapists contacting TOB years back wanting to have their info removed from forum discussions account they were CMT's advertising therapeutic Massage.

At that time there was discussions and came to the conclusion to allow reviews from the BP BodyRubs section. the line was drawn there. Any info from the legit therapeutic Massage section was to be general in scope to massage modalities, specific names and/or  identities  could not be published.

This statement has been put forth from time to time::

______________________________________________________

The line has been drawn between body rubs & Therapeutic Massage pertaining to how one may post in the Forum
Ads that show under Therapeutic Massage;

As such, responses in the forum will be limited to the variety of modalities that encompass a therapeutic massage must be general in topic with NO mention of Individual Ads...
By definition; Therapeutic Massage would be performed by a licensed qualified Therapist.
Legitimate Massage Only.
Any information beyond this would need to be in the form of back channel. (PM's).
AnD I would caution anyone to be careful with any dissemination of information,
as this could greatly harm a Therapeutic Masseuse and or CMT in running their Legitimate Business.

Sense BP has removed the BodyRubs section this has muddied the waters........

I assume what we are taking about here is the fact that on most FBSM reviews the only activity mentioned is the FBSM, with no mention of the HJ that we all assume took place. Am I on the right track?

In part, yes.  My concern was reviewing fixed location businesses with a "store front" and name over the door, and claiming services on wrong side of legal limits.  Seems like it draws too much attention to them and is virtually a dare to LE or rubbing nose in.  Could also cause loss of license for certified masseuse.

I totally agree.having been to a couple AMP’s. walking in is somewhat unnerving. Had some great times there.

BUT, why help LE? I vote leave them out of the review pages!
