Posted January 5, 2018 Now that I can look back and laugh (kind of) at my recent experience, I figured I'd share with y'all. For one reason or another, I've not yet had the pleasure of hooking up with a lady on TOB. I haven't got my foot in the door with a newbie friendly provider yet. Not complaining, just pointing out why I was on BP.. So I'm at a ridiculously boring conference, it's 9:30pm and I decide I'd like to book some last minute fun at the hotel later. I send 5 or 6 texts, and go back & forth with one that uses a little bit of tact & respect in her replies. Anyway, things work out & a few hrs later she arrives at my hotel. I go down and meet her, good looking curvy gal. We get in the elevator, exchange pleasantries, [Snip} We get to the room and I tell a good icebreaker story I have, and things are going ok. Somehow we talk about football, and she says, "I ain't watchin football cause what they doin to Colin Kaepernick ain't right". This strikes a big nerve with me. I didn't contact her based on her political views, so even though I've got a couple mixed drinks in me I politely keep my trap shut. I offer & she has a couple drinks, then we slowly roll into things. Now I'm on somewhat of the 'well endowed' side of things, but not overly big by any means. She's obviously uncomfortable, and I'm definitely not jackrabbiting her either. All I can think of, for lack of a better term, is this lady's been 'tore up' here recently. She even asks, during, if she can have another drink. I'm now very much turned off and politely as possible pretend to finish. This is where shit gets weird. She goes to the bathroom for like no less than 10 minutes, comes out & asks me for my credit card. I tilt my head (I already donated more than she asked) & she tells me they (whoever the hell "they" are, probably the same bastards doing mean stuff to Colin) are gonna shut her phone off. She tells me this story like it's my problem. I tell her I give that type of info to no one, regardless. She says, "How much cash do you have?" About 15 minutes ago I was just wanting her the fuck out of the room, but keep politely being a gentleman. I'm a pushover, and want her peacefully gone before she causes a scene, so I give her some. She says, "How much more do you got? What's someone like you need cash for anyway?" What the??? Yes, I do believe I was just reverse-racially profiled, if there is such a thing. I tell her I need it for many things... She's not happy about this, I try to keep the mood light, tell her how much I enjoyed myself & will contact her again... After she puts my two last beverages in her purse, she leaves. I go to the bathroom & look around, notice she took my complimentary shampoo, conditioner, & lotion. This is why I keep all personal info hidden on occasions like this.. [Snip} I'm a "people are generally good" type of guy, but it sickens me knowing there are many people in the world like this & worse. Other than a little chuckle, the one thing I took away from this experience is it makes me appreciate good, hard working, honest people that much more. And I'm not looking at BP anymore... Cheers! Please, pretty please with sugar on top will you do a review or at least provide enough info (name, phone number, link to her BP) so that the rest of us can make sure to avoid this person? Lots of legit ladies started there and still advertise there. What makes it skew evil on TOB is that it seems, imo, guys not thinking with their big heads. Not looking for reviews for the lady. Posted January 6, 2018 One of the interesting aspects of exposing the Internet to the masses (I started on the DARPA email network) has been the breadth of misuse. At the intersection with prostitution (and other illicit activity) this has included an increase in use by unscrupulous individuals. BP is just one example; Denver Ladies is another. Sure, there were agencies similar to DL in the print media days, and like DL they survived because most individuals couldn't inform each other of the scams. This is true in other areas as well (Angie's List, Yelp). TOB and similar boards have created a savy consumer, exchanging information (reviews), and expecting quality service. Quality providers have adapted to this new market. In the print media days, if you wanted WYSIWYG you hit the streets. Picture ads were expensive & customers learned to expect stock photos. But LE has pushed the street trade into cyberspace, where the cost of market entry is low and the risk has been reduced. This wider pool includes more scam artists, more individuals with less professional attitudes. Thanks for the explanation man! And you're exactly right, I was just trying to keep cool enough so shit didn't escalate. I blocked the number, which got thrown in with about 10 others on my phone. If I get time I'll try to search her out & do the review, hate for someone else to go thru that. I should've originally posted that I'd had good luck in the past with BP, but years back. I thought I was being overly cautious with things and am very glad it all worked out ok. I'm almost two years in, but when I found this site (thankfully before I even knew about backpage) I read through posts, found out about P411, got good tips about behavior and safety, learned why location and parking matter, discovered that reviews matter in being able to find what you are looking for and despite being very attracted to a provider here and there seeing what the reviews say and realizing it would just not be a good time for either of us, etc. etc. It's also nice to hear the provider side of the story and empathize with the non-stop BS some of the women put up with and realizing that a little kindness, courtesy and manners will probably go a long way. This story confirmed many things I've tried to follow when I partake of this hobby. Only have the amount of donation on you. Don't take your wallet into the incall. If you are providing the outcall at a hotel, don't have your personal belongings lying around or even accessible. Do your homework on the person you are going to see. In other words, plan with the big head, let the little head take over when the time is right. Obviously a veteran like you doesn't need those reassurances, but for someone who hasn't been around as long (and without tan toes) hearing the things that can and do go wrong help me plan for safer encounters. I let him go as her made it to her door a few steps ahead of me. I don't know if there is a way to post reviews and experiences like this on backpage. If you can, someone let me know. If number is not in the system, you will be asked for some basic information - her handle, email if known, basic info as best you know it and the system will create a profile. Posted January 10, 2018 Damn it - I travel for work and I NEVER thought about hiding my personal items in the bathroom. Now I will make sure I move all my stuff out. Like Jags I always have only the donation amount on me or laid out on the dresser. I am mostly a FBSM type and I have not noticed many of the stuff missing. Perhaps there is a difference between the two other than price of course. Last massage I had out of town sucked majorly - and she was a total clock watcher and I never got to the sensual massage part only the lathering of the lotion on my back and legs - boy oh boy were they covered. You already mentioned wanting to get your foot in the door with ToB ladies. One way to do that is to establish a profile and write honest but tactful reviews.
