Lucy, just raise your rates to what you feel your service is worth.

The gentlemen that feel your service is worth your increased rates will pay your rates.

I see plenty of ads for 300, 400 500+ an hour?  IDK depends on how busy someone wants to be.

Just an opinion of someone new to the hobby, I have taken advantage of a couple "specials" before I knew about this site. I met one lady who turned me onto this group and I am in fact seeing her again this weekend for a special session at a price she deemed fair. I felt zero need to haggle about it, I just had to make my own decision on if it was what i would spend. If she told me less how would I know if it was too little? The flip side is another special while not bad service, I would not be spending this weekend at the same price. I guess what I am saying is I am willing to pay more for a guaranteed great time, rather than spend 70% and get a so-so experience. I do know some ladies here have fantastic reputations and I suspect they will get business at a higher price range regardless. I just don't know how I could have had  separate experiences without the reduce price in as short of time as my wages have not greatly increased in the last 10 years either.

I guess to close is if you are a good provider I think you will ultimately be able to raise your rates with minimal loss of business. This is not in anyway calling someone out for their opinions either. I have nothing but respect for the ladies who take care of us.

The virtually meaningless Everyday Price Index you link to does NOT include housing or purchases of appliances, furniture, cars, transportation, etc. but rather ONLY "every day purchases"  A house I could buy for $150K where I live goes for around $300K in Springs and around $500K in Denver metro, higher in western burbs.  Housing costs have sky rocketed, and ladies trying to have a home and a separate incall get hammered twice.  Indexes that only look at one small piece of what it takes to live are dangerous because they totally misrepresent reality by minimizing inflationary costs.  And thus can be used by gov to "justify" 0.2 percent increase in social security - or this year a whopping  whole 2 percent!!

Most of us that work for a living have the "luxury" of not having people bitch daily about our wages and trying to get us to go home with less. (Yes, I know many own their own small business guys do, but others, nope).  Escorts get it every day relentlessly from both serious clients and fucktards just getting their kicks from jacking with them.  I have no magic answer for what anyone's rates "should be" because everyone's needs and market and circumstances are different.  But to understand how much many ladies in the biz are hurting is not rocket science.  When I started lurking around these parts 10 years ago the going rates were 200-250 with out-lyers at 150 and 400.  But vast majority around 225.  Now what I see are rates of 250 to 300 with out-lyers at 200 and 400.  That very minor increase pales in comparison to the cost of most everything else.  Pretty simple.

I tired to find the CPI the federal government uses to determine the COLA for Social Security.  Their figures aren't any better and they supposedly take into account the cost fo housing, food, medical care, etc.  The federal government is finally going to give a 2% COLA in 2018...the first one in 2 years I believe...maybe 3 years.

Personally, I disagree with the COLA as I feel it is too low.  But I also disagree with a 40% cost of living increase over the past 7 years.

And yes, I am well aware of how much housing has increased, food has increased...everything has increased.

If talking housing alone, as in purchasing, over the last 15 years it’s doubled in cost for the Denver metro area. That data is easy to find online. Do you have information that says otherwise?

Likewise, I see those same ads and also have contacted a few ladies in the higher ranges only to be told "sorry, I'm booked up".  This market is the most basic example of capitalistic forces.  There's an enormous difference between price and worth.  Price is arbitrary, worth is the measurement of what the market is willing to pay.  The market may determine that a Ferrari is worth $100k, but putting a $100k price tag on a Hyundai doesn't make it magically worth $100k.  If your product isn't commanding the price that others are able to command, look at your product instead of complaining that the market sucks and customers are cheap.

Man.....for such an alleged shortcut to fun and games without the drama, there sure is a lot of drama. Great looks is good...great service is better...both is a dream. Me, I will settle for wonderful, regular, local, 69 queen and call it good. Out of town.....new girl.....variety....different service......???  TOO RISKY........

Over the last 15-20 years, I have talked at length with many providers. In that time, there have been some "lean times" for the ladies. Economics, scandals, board shut downs, L.E. crack-downs are some of the reasons. Here is the survival plan that was discussed with me a few times by a few ladies. When times are tough, they chose select regulars and gave them a special lower rate that created more visits from them. These clients were hand-picked by the ladies as ones who for whatever reasons were "less work like". As you can imagine, that can be anything from the guy being great looking and great in the sack, to he is nice and done in 5 minutes, and anything in between. Naturally, these selected clients were NOT supposed to be disclosing the rates in reviews or forums. Advertised rates and other client rates remained the same.

+1 But, the point of this thread isn't an overpriced Hyundai, it's about a defective consumer. men are dumb stupid animals who don't know anything at all let alone the value of a product or service. as dumb stupid animals we need to simply shut up and do as we are told. I think men need to take about 6 months away from the hobby to educate ourselves on the value of products and services. Think of the money that could be saved and better spent after we know what we are doing.

I don’t really think there is any magical formula with rates.  Find a price point where you stay as busy as you need/want.  When you are getting more requests than you can handle the time has come to raise your rates.

But then again...what do I know😂

So I sat back and reflected on this, and during that time I saw a tweet from one of the top SW in the world write something that made me think. She said,

Quote

Escorts, here’s a simple rule for business success: whatever advice loudmouth hobbyists and internet guys not spending on you preach, do the EXACT opposite. These men have a vested interest in keeping you less busy and more desperate.

She has a point. A good portion of you hobbyists don't see some of us and yet want to give us advice on our business.

If us ladies sat back and crunched numbers, how much time of work, our budget, etc. than we would personally know what is best for us financially(how much to advertise ourselves). Hobbyists only really see one side of the business, and think that we should get paid just for that. What about the hours I spend advertising myself? What about the hours I put myself out there so other hobbyists know I exist? What about the minutes/hours I spend screening and dealing with email after email of contacts? Why should I not charge for that? Other people get paid to do that for corporations, and other businesses so why should it be free for me? That is really the grunt work of this business we have, and I would rather be in bed playing all day, but it all starts with all that work I invest in to get to the fun. We have to look at this from a business stand point because well, it is our business. When we don't work, we don't make money and we spend money before we make money, and we count on what we say, how we look, how we advertise ourselves to cover those costs.

Us ladies having a higher rate is not to bleed you hobbyists dry or to insult you in any way, we do that to provide the safety, comfort, and fantasy that you desire. I can personally tell you that I am more than willing to go out of my way for the clients that pay more or go out of their way as well for me. An example...I have a huge appointment coming up with someone and they are being spoiled with a 4 star hotel complete with their requests and finger foods to whet our pallets with during the time along with refreshments. I am pulling out all of the stops because I want them to enjoy this experience that they are paying generously for. It is my job! When clients come in acting like I owe them something, I do the minimal and I hate that. Also, the more I charge...the more likely I can provide the 4 star plus experience you fantasize about.

I do understand that people have budgets, but like we have said...this is a luxury and we provide "time and companionship" in which my time and companionship is a luxury I give to a few select clients that are fortunate to meet me, and this goes for a majority of us ladies. That is the beauty of this business is we get to choose, and so do you, but it is for a cost that is agreed upon by both parties. How cool is it that for a rate, you can find a lady to provide what you desire that you can't get anywhere else. Truly, we are rare commodities that provide a service that few would ever consent to yet we are more than willing to oblige to those requests. We don't ask for down payments, nor do we make you sign papers on a lifetime or extended loan, no contracts are printed out and signed(well, maybe for the sugars but I digress) this is literally for a one time rate  that you can choose to pay only once, or as many times you want for each excursions. I think you hobbyists are pretty damn lucky!

xoxo,

Samantha Sheppard

This is a better way of saying what I posted. I feel if you get a good experience the rate won't be an issue. If you are not a good provider you will have no choice but to low ball and I would rather spend my limited funds for a known great time. Just means less chance taking for some of us if that makes sense

Certainly no provider in the history of the business has lied about being booked up to increase desirability. It's a common tactic. Prices posted vs. prices actually paid is actually our little secret. There are many that post higher rates only to privately accept less because they need the money and want to continue the illusion that they are making that much money.

There is not this vast difference between price and worth that you think. The market is manipulative. But what you're saying is that we're either Hyundais or Ferraris? And that I am a Hyundai wanting Ferrari prices?  The pricing of cars isn't arbitrary  it's the same with pussy.  I would bet that those ladies you contacted in the higher rate ranges all had a few things in common. Slender, Caucasian and under 35. The value of the Ferrari isn't actually $100k but you like the way it looks so you pay for it.

If you can't assign an inherent value to the business without making it about the individual I can't make you understand.  But maybe the car analogy will help. There is still a cost to make those cars. Regardless of the type, that is the cost that the selling point is based off of. I would imagine that they even use similar metrics to decide the selling point. Every provider has the same base costs give or take a few. We all pay for advertising, incalls, tools, supplies. So why not just assign an actual value to a service and not people? There will always be varying degrees of rates but I think it's not outrageous to suggest that there is some sort of minimum that we can all agree on.

Also regardless of what anyone thinks of an individual we're all fancy cars. It should never be forgotten that this is a luxury business. Some of us are Porches, some are BMWs, some are McLarens.

I liked your reply, but the first line has me baffled?  If I call a provider with cash in hand and ready to book, how would it possibly benefit her to tell me she's booked up if she's not?  She just made nothing and I'll call someone else, how does that benefit her?  Can you elaborate?

Just wanted to post a HUGE THANK YOU to all of the gentlemen that do choose to visit us ladies.

Not sure why these threads continue being posted and beat the fuck to death.  Raise your rates, lower your rates...all up to each individual.

I wouldn’t think these threads drum up much business and it almost looks like scolding the men.  Don’t bite the hand that feeds ya!

You're still on purpose being antagonistic. Please show me where I said dumb men? Please? Maybe actually read my posts instead of the other guys . Reading comprehension helps us all. You only see one provider so how would you even know what's actually going on in this business?

You would know about threads to drum up business wouldn't you? This was a thread about the market being nonviable. Not Lucy's rates are too low. Maybe you should back off the scolding every now and then?

Maybe just maybe this wasn't a thread about drumming up business? You and your friends wouldn't allow it anyways. In one thread you say we need a hooker union but here you just roll with the insults.

I guess you don't want to see your peers be successful as long as you have yours huh?

What you said was we men don't have a clue what an acceptable rate is.

That implies we men are dumb.

So why don't you tell us what an acceptable rate is?

Would you rather hear that she was booked up or has raging diarrhea? J/K but seriously if a provider is busy with anything it makes more sense to tell you the potential client that we're booked up. It's just part of being on with the persona and it's a little but of marketing. It makes us sound desirable. It could also be to encourage you to prebook. The higher up you go on the price scale the less likely you are to see someone with less than 24hr notice.

TIME FOR THIS THREAD TO DIE!  Lucy lives Lucy's life and knows Lucy's life - and she expands that to general conviction of how all woman and most men should think.  She ain't gonna change, and she doesn't care what anyone else thinks.  She thinks the ladies don't charge enough and should charge more, probably so that she could ride the rising tide.  Fair enough.  Beyond that, who cares.

Often wrong, never in doubt.

BTW Lucy, I have been around this business a hell of a lot longer than you.

I read the threads, I read the ads...so I know what is happening in this business.

You constantly come on here and belittle the men of Denver with a condencending attitude.

You started this thread in an effort to get all the other ladies to raise their rates so you could justify raising your rate....which is listed at $200 in your ads...and then you run specials at $170.

Just raise your rate and see if the market will pay your rate.

And please, stop bitching at us.

My negative attitude towards you is caused by your negative attitude towards all of us in this board.
