Hello everyone,

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I noticed we have a very chatty group around here...lol

I'm a big poster on some other boards and would love to see this forum alive again

I know I'm a newbie around here but I'm not new to the lifestyle.

So let's reintroduce ourselves.

My name is Veronica I've lived in Las Vegas for the last year. I'm originally from the Central Coast of California. I love to cook, read and listen to music.

Now it's Your turn ...

Hey ladies n gents - From the Bay now reside in Fabulous Las Vegas for the past 10 years.  I love it here. SO much to do, and yes it has its up and downs but I like to gamble and never over do it but I hit from time to time.  So you may see me at any one of the fabulous casinos on the strip, or fun downtown, or any of the video poker bars on almost every corner.  I've been to so many of the local ones I forget where my faves are.  Such as there is a Hawaiian Bar that serves yummy Aloha food even yummy sugary Malasadas I can't believe I never had those on the islands I was in love with them while playing my fave Deuces Wild.  I hit me a Royal Flush a month ago, 1 of 5 I hit in the 10 years I've been here.  Deuces is my fave but many people go for double bonus or there are so many others to play. And keno omg I love keno.  It may bore some of y'all but I love to gamble its a bit of a thrill and I love the winning feeling and i never lose more than $80 that's where I stop.

Shopping is amazing here.  My fave - Fashion show mall is so massive and they have fantastic restaurants there: Capitol Grille; Maggianos, many others.  I also love Miracle Mile at PH, then there is the Forum Shops at Caesars.  The outlets north and south.  And Town Square which is south of the strip but April and October are the best times to go as it is all out door but the atmosphere is pretty.  Downtown Summerlin is similar, which is not far from Red Rock Casino which I love to gamble too.

Then continuing on and off strip so many to mention but here are a few faves: Top of the World at Stratosphere ( beautiful view, great food) not to mention I jumped off the Stratosphere for exhilaration on a day i needed to feel wild, up and down Flamingo are great places East of the strip are Lawrys, Mortons, Bahama Breeze, Fogo de Chao, more... Supposedly "the Steakhouse" at Circus Circus is award winning I haven't been yet.  Downtown El Cortez has the famous $10 prime rib at Siegels which is actually really good for a quick cheap bite. Then there are famous places such as the Golden Steer which has been there forever - a place the Rat Pack used to meet up.  I've been to the Mob Museum which is great for Vegas history - especially understanding the way it came to be - hookers, gangsters, crime, prohibition all of that. I have to go again there is so much to see. I really love downtowns atmosphere its chill and I like that its easier to get around with out the super crowds and crossing streets walking further just to get to the same environment - booze and gambling.  Although all throughout Vegas I find great places to buy little things here and there - gift shops are spread throughout.  I love the Flamingo has this sexy store with lingerie and sex toys all the like. Speaking of which - Deja Vu has the Erotic Museum I think it is called. I haven't been yet but will someday. I like the Linq for its little walkway towards the High Roller, and there is this little restaurant Off the Strip which i absolutely loved my steak.  Perhaps it was because we were the only patrons in there as it was 8 am New Years day, I was starving from the whole bottle of Jameson I had the night before. Every season has it's attractions - obviously the summertime pool parties are extremely fun and some nights such as when I went to Surrender I got to see Skrillex and that party was all the way live I had my bikini on at night in the 100 degree weather and able to cool off in the pool its so much fun. With so many resident DJs, celebrity appearances its easy to spot famous people in the casinos but you know what they are there to have fun and enjoy them selves like we are so its nice just to run into them and not bother them with autographs or paparazzi etc.  I ran into Paris Hilton and I am a fan but just casually said hello and she smiled and we went separate ways. I used to see Lil Jon everywhere, maybe because I was always at the Wynn/Encore and he had residency at the time.  I love City Center - from the Aria, to Vdara, to Mandarin Oriental and the Cosmo.  Also Veer towers but those are condos.

[snip]

If you are an outdoorsy person there are many trails, mountains and places to seek outdoors - Red Rock Canyon, um I can't think of the others at the moment but there are plenty.

I've been to many shows -  JLO - my favorite, Jabawockeez, Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, La Reve - twice, Love - the Beatles, KA, Toni Braxton, New Kids On the Block - Yes ladies yes, to name a few, Fantasy, Michael Jackson the One, and I was given UFC tickets at the last minute so i missed it dammit.  But I watched the famous Rhonda Rousse fight at a strip club and it was brutal to see her lose.  My date lost money on that too.  On the subject of Strip Clubs there are so many to frequent. Crazy Horse 3, Sapphires, Cheetas, Rhino, and I"m sure there are others but I've been out the loop.

Every Casino and every corner of Vegas has great things to see and do, no shortage of fun things to encounter and depending what time you are out you are liable to see some type of action - whether it is crazy drunks, bachelor/bachelorette parties, fights, and an unimaginable list of things that goes on.

Ok im sleepy now guess that was a little bit of an extensive report on Vegas although I have many many stories naughty good and bad, but I'd have it no other way I love it here. Never a dull moment I swear.  Matter of fact I'm going to hit up a quick video poker bar, because I woke up and can't sleep so maybe a shot and $20 play may do me good I'll be back in an hour and sleepy...while my kitty cat knocks down things off my Xmas tree.

I just wanted to add that I love the classiness of each casino and each has their fair share of fabulous suites.  Two story suites with spiral staircases, 3 bedroom suites with pianos, fireplaces, some with massage rooms, extensive sound systems, stripperpoles, my favorite is the Mansions at MGM - I've been to the 4 bedroom large suite with a jacuzzi the size of a pool! Many top floor suites cater to high rollers, beauty in every corner. Speaking of corner suites opening the entire drapes reveals the beauty that is vegas at night and in  the day you can see the mountains that surround our beautiful city. Palms Fantasy Tower has great party themed rooms, some with butlers and bartenders to tend to you and your guests, the bowling pin suite, Hardwood Suite with full court basketball and locker room, oh my goodness the list goes on and on and on....

Well, Happy New Year to you! I try to get a couple road trips in each year. Montana is the only state west of the Mississippi I have yet to visit... Maybe I should remedy that soon...

Hello to everyone, Jen here. Originally from the great NW, but I've been in Vegas for 17 years now...
