http://kdvr.com/2017/10/18/fbi-rescues-3-month-old-5-year-old-sister-from-denver-in-nationwide-sex-trafficking-operation/

so this is why they do stings, although its sick to see and even harder to believe that someone would pay for such young girls?

fine if they wanna rescue the young girls im all for it but if they come across an adult, and they want to be in the business leave them alone and let em go.

im thinking this might be the sting from the other thread.

I don't actually believe that story. I'm not saying that doesn't happen somewhere in the world but that just seems totally unbelievable. It sounds like an effort to make this most recent sting seem productive. I was reading stories from other providers today in other cities that have recently had the same setup and most arrests were adults.

I am also confused with how this went down. Was the suspect openly advertising? They don't mention at all how they found the guy and usually when these stings happen we get lots of details. Usually they're super happy to admit that they found the criminals on BP or wherever site they used in whatever location. This article and the one Emily Jordan posted in the other thread are totally void of details. Just number of arrests and that's really all. Obviously there are names that will be redacted to keep people involved safe but where is all the shaming? The mugshots of those apprehended? Something is fishy with the reporting of this "operation" and I think others are starting to figure it out.

Yep all the reporting was very vague, stating that the sources were " social media" and busts happened at " hotels and casinos".... The one thing that was specified, which I found odd as well, was that it " ended" on October 15th.  So are "they" saying it's alright to come out and play now? 😂😂 I think not.

I agree with both  the ladies here, BUT unless/until this "hobby" is legalized, what we do here is a crime.  so, it is a misdemeanor, but it is still not legal.  The officers are bound by law, and oath, to enforce ALL the laws of the government that employs them.  The clients must endeavor to avoid any provider that is not of legal age or that is not doing this by choice. (not sure I think financial need is a valid reason for the choice)  All these board are proof that morality can not be legislated, but humane dignity should not be crushed by clients and traffickers. Ladies here (or anywhere) should be a level of respect that is afforded to any civilian.

Honestly, it is probably back to normal.  Things like this are a scheduled, budgeted process.  That project is done, they'll do the next one, until about the same time next year.

Just out of curiosity, any insight as to why this time of year?

It just bugs me the way these sting are represented, they are so dishonest. The stated goal should be the actual goal, not arresting a bunch of adults and calling it a victory.

They call it "victory" because they manage to "rescue" a few youths and snare their traffickers, which matches their stated (funded) purpose.  But I agree that's a smoke screen for a more general "clean up" of the adult industry.  This satisfies both the evangelists of the Right and the feminists of the Left.

(When will feminists realize that there is not a pimp behind every bush, embrace women's power and support the entrepreneurs of the independent escort industry.  The courtesans of old were important figures in society.)

If I remember right, they just do it about the same time every year.  Bureaucracy always likes the same routine...

Federal fiscal year starts Oct 1. No grant money to charge time to until then.

Regarding the super young girls that were part of the operation.  The article I read said the Mom was trying to sell a 5 yr old and the 3 month old for $600.  This was done in hotels and the LE posted ads as well.  One just has to be careful.  Thanks for all the efforts on this board and those who run it!

Holidays, Football Season, Elections, SAME issue every 4 years when Olympics and Presidential elections Occur.

V.I.C.E Does NOT have a set schedule when operating stings. Just as we look at The Volume of ads so do they. If they see a jump In escorts posting They Jump..

If a Minor was arrested due to unrelated offenses and says She was online at one point. Boom get ready for another one

If a massage parlor gets busted, Boom get ready for another one.

If Colfax , Peoria and Federal are empty and Quotas are low. Boom get ready for another one.

Bottom line is VICE watches Us like we watch Them. It is a never ending circle. It will not stop, breaks are not given and Minors Are NOT their targets Every time..We are, They just happen to stumble on them and USE those cases as a Legit cause for wasting My damn taxes and Positive Media Space....

Stings are done primarily to make money on fines and court costs. Same as traffic tickets. Politically, there is the moral enforcement, but money is at the heart.  If suddenly, everyone stopped escorting, violating traffic laws, and driving drunk, it would be a financial catastrophe for that municipality.

I would think all the reporting was very vague for a reason. Why would FBI spill more info than is needed? There are people who desperately need there help. Now with that being said, I wish the operations didn't include providers who are of age and choose to do this. The reality is its against the law. If there wasn't PIMPING going on this wouldn't be issue. But it does happen.

Fines and court costs are chump change.  The real money is in grants and confiscated property that is declared by the police and only the police to have been used directly in furthering the crime the owner of the property is arrested for.  They can and will take homes, cars, cash, bank accounts.  If you are found innocent - tough shit, you DO NOT get your stuff back unless you sue to get it back and you are unlikely to win.  Many local and state governments outlawed this practice (should NOT have had to if your average judge could recognize the constitution if it bit him/her in the ass) and that should have ended it in many locales.  Then the feds step in through the Attorney General office and BiC1"s beady eyed little bastard AG who is vigorously supporting and promoting the principle that federal confiscation rules over-ride local laws when the local LE is working "under the umbrella" of a federal agency.  There are usually grants available as well.  So local LE obtains the federal grants, hold press conferences and invite FBI and press and then pat themselves on the back so hard it is a wonder they do not dislocate shoulders.  Then to top it off, at the press conference they will usually say something along the lines of "this will be an ongoing effort and goal".  Which means they get to claim all of their fill in the blank (prostitution, drugs, smuggling, etc.) enforcement is under a federal umbrella, collect the grant money for cop salaries and toys, and keep illicitly confiscated property seized during one of those enforcement activities.  Really catch anyone?  I suspect doe matter to many naive beat cops trying very hard to do their jobs, but to management raking in the money - not at all.

I agree with what you are saying but officers can not enforce selectively.  IF all they catch are traffickers, they are good, but if/when an "adult" gets snared in their traps, they must take action.  When it comes to prostitution, there is no catch and release, at least not by the police.

The job vice has got to be very hard. I'm sure they see horrible things. I'm sure they tired of bullshit. The public mistreats Escorts and Cops. We both are shamed with mud slapping in face.

All I know is that if the reports are true, then I'm glad they caught those degenerate pieces of human debris!!!   As is promoted here, adults who engage in consensual activities with equally consenting, free adults should be allowed to do so.  But anyone that participates in these types activities with minors or with people who are coerced or enslaved should be, at a minimum, locked up for life.

I totally agree. The degenerates who pimp underage girls (or boys) should have their dicks cut off _ not their balls cuse I want them to want it for the rest of their lives.

Just read the report, Denver got mentioned as the epic center of the nation wide operation, that's kinda weird...

Who knows if Denver is the epicenter of this operation, it seems like every FBI field office put out a press release, so, might have been looking at info coming from the Denver office.

That said, would not be surprised re: CO being a bit of a hub of activity. Middle of the country with several interstates intersecting. Take a look at FoCo Backpage, filled with out-of-state numbers and "here for a short while" type ads.

That page has become basically worthless.  Too many scam ads.
