I live in the country and I have hundreds if not thousands of mice in my out buildings.  After the house was built, I had mice in the house.  I've tried every natural and catch & release solution out there, but none of them worked even a little.  The only thing that works to get and keep mice out of your living space is (1) do a careful survey of every inch of the perimeter of the house and make sure all holes larger than a dime are permanently plugged up, then (2) as unappetizing as it sounds, set out poison in bait stations that your pets and kids can't get into.   After 5 years of diligently repeating this process every 3 months, I think the interior of the house is finally mouse free.

You would be missing out on a lot of clients if you didn't visit the north part of town.  Most providers seem to always focus on the DTC area and as a result many of us wont travel south.  Other then being professional at a front desk, simply change your phone number by a single digit to protect yourself.  It is not hard to look up a number, I do every-time I go and see someone new.  I like to find out who she is etc...above and beyond TOB.

Good to know. I'm a lady doing my homework as well. New to CO but not just passing through, I'm actually waiting on an apartment in Greeley. But I'm still traveling this beautiful state and of course Denver is on my list in the very near future. Currently looking at hotels in the Westminster area, and it seems to be very nice out there, hotels have decent prices for upscale places...Enjoying all this info though guys! Thanks!

Always good advice to follow.  Act like you own the place or at least know where you are going.  A quick glance around the lobby will give you directions to room numbers and elevators. That can be done without looking like you are lost.

I try to give my gentlemen my EXACT location when I'm telling then my room number (like make a right at the front lobby, go up 2 floors and my room is to the right) I try to be as discreet as I can be

After reading this, and being a noobie, is out call to my place safe/preferred once a regular working relationship has been set up? I would think that puts both of us at ease, or is that usually frowned upon?

This can sometimes be a slow time to visit so you might want to get prebookings done before the expense of the trip.

DTC is my favorite area to recommend for traveling ladies. Seems to be the hobby hub.

Safe travels and have a great time!

May i suggest looking at a map? Cherry creek is south east from the city center.... (between downtown and DTC) Everybody on this board is biased to certain areas... but would agree with everything laci said!

Essentially,  Cherry Creek is an area on the far southeast end of Denver,  between Denver and DTC.  It is my favorite location, and might even be a bit better than DTC.  Come have some fun!

Pfunk being that I am a native, there are still areas in Denver where this exists.   Where the hell have you been?

I'm a Denver native, too. I've never lived anywhere else. I disagree. For my work, I drive all over the city, day and night, in a vehicle full of tools and supplies. There is nowhere, here, that I'm afraid to park. Have a nice night! :)

I've been here 20 years. But I grew up in south Florida, and when I first moved here and people talked about bad areas I kind of scoffed cause the bad areas here were child play compared to bad areas around south Florida. Today in Denver a lot of the historically bad areas have turned around. I'm sure there are places that are still bad but few and far between, at least I haven't ended up any where in Denver where a cop has escorted me back to safety like happened to me once in Florida when I got off at a wrong exit.

I recently completed a construction project at 4th an Federal.  We were tagged and broken into weekly.  Pfunk does small, neighborhood residential type work which is a lot smaller and somewhat safer.  Being in the big leagues is a lot tougher.  We don’t work out of the back of our trucks either!!!!

Every city has the good and the bad.  A 100% all good/all safe neighborhood-ed city simply does not exist.

Pfunk, my hat is off to ya. If you have chosen hobby locations that never caused you any concern for the safety of your vehicle, then you have chosen more wisely than a lot of folks all this time.  Keep that streak alive brother - you are bringing up all the averages! :)

I never wrote that all local areas were 100% safe! I said there was nowhere I was afraid to park, for an appointment.

Seriously, I can't imagine worrying about a vehicle, parked for 1 to 3 hours, anywhere local. (Well, maybe, if it's a Rolls Royce...)

I also agree that some neighborhoods are safer than others. Denver ain't Detroit, though!

Yes, please.  This is perfect.  I’ve had a couple of ladies do this and it sure helps.  Makes me look like I belong and know where I am.  I hate walking into a hotel lobby and having to look around to find the elevator.
