  1. 1. What if the pictures are for safety or security purposes? Is it still a con if the pictures are equal or equivalent to the provider?

A little off topic, but for me it is just as important ....

So what are your thoughts on accurate images?

I regularly shy away from providers that appear to have fake images unless the reviews overwhelmingly say that they are accurate representations.  I realize that "accurate" is in the eye of the beholder, but if there are several reviews that say the same thing, I think it's safe to proceed.

Also, I completely understand the thinking of the providers that blur or hide their faces, but I'm not sure I agree that doing so actually provides that layer of safety and security.

And, I haven't had to yet, but I will walk away if the pictures are not close enough.

Olivia, I think as a hobbyist if she had an intriguing ad I would still reach out to her because my thinking would be "well what if she's the perfect type for me but she doesn't want her pics public?"

I have seen SEVERAL providers on tob with no pics yet they have multiple reviews. Granted, they also have p411. From what I understand, p411 is very secure so perhaps it's safe to put pics up there.

Personally, I have tattoos so I just take a paint pen when editing my pics and cover my face and tatts. Actually, I don't usually show my face at all.

P411 Also has rules against using stolen pictures.

Oh, I meant that perhaps it's just safer to display your (actual) pics on p411.

If you are under the impression that P411 is somehow "safer" as in more secure, etc., please do not take any actions based on that impression: Anyone who wants to can go look at P411 listings, including the photos.  In that regard it is no more secure than TOB or BP.  You don't have to be a member to go, look and read.  You just have to be a member to make contact with a lady through the site or to get contact information.  If you want to test this out, just click on any lady's P411 paperclip link on a TOB ad, and it takes you right to her P411 photos.

I think there are circumstances where it is ok to use a false image but I think that when the client is making an appt. the person who is using the false image should tell the prospective client about the pictures and give some short explanation of why the pictures are not the real person.  i realize that it can be for safety sake especially if the provider is changing things for example to get away from someone who is stalking her etc..

Olivia Rae, you have already outed yourself as an escort that uses fake pictures. Although you do raise a good point that potential clients will not respond to only one picture...keep in mind that they will also not respond to an ad where the lady has a rep for not using real photos of herself. Even if it  is just one picture.  I'm willing to bet that your phone is ringing less since you started this thread.

It looks like Olivia has deleted all photos on her profile except for one. Hopefully she is taking the advice of the guys on the forum and will be posting actual pics of herself soon.

Ladies please post actual current photos of yourselves on your ads/profiles. We want to see exactly what we will be seeing when we walk in the door.It is not cool to deceive!

Sitting here at my desk this morning thinking (which can be dangerous at times 🤣) thinking along the lines of false images, if you are going to include an age, please list an age that is reasonably close to your true age...i.e. within a couple years. I like to know the actual age, but you never ask a lady her age...that can be dangerous 😅. Within a couple years is good.

That one photo does not match her self description.

Using stolen pictures of a dead escort ??  I found someone doing just that. Photographers own rights to pictures, I just happen to know her favorite man behind the camera was..and he was instantly alerted..and the escort was  legally informed.

damn, that's low down.

It does feel dishonest to use fake photos, but I have never once gotten a Whopper from Burger King that looked like the photo. It appears in business it is not uncommon to use photos of items that may not be the actual item you are purchasing.

I would be most disappointed if the photo of the eyes or face was different from the actual lady I might be seeing. What I value most in a person, doesn't show up in photos anyway. If we was a pleasant person who's company I enjoyed, I could overlook the images.

We ladies choose to make those photos available to the public. Many providers make their profiles visible only to p411 members..

Actually,it is uncommon.  what you have to look at is what form of media is used in the advertising. Obviously a Burger King Whopper that you will get in the drive thru is not the same size as the one you see on a Billboard as you drive down the highway.

If you take a good look at the product in any ad,you will usually see   an  * next to said product that says "actual size," "product is smaller" or " product is bigger."

What should she do ?  Put an asterisk next to her fake photo and say   "similar to what opens the door " or " borrowed picture for security reasons" ??

I know guys don't like to be deceived but the real victim of stolen photos is the person in the photos. The person that didn't consent to having their photo advertise an illegal business.

Truth in advertising is my operative advice.

... although how about this: "these are not my real pics for security reasons, but they are representative, and if you are not fully satisfied when I open the door, please feel free to walk away at no obligation."  ...or

""these are not my real pics for security reasons, but they are representative. After screening I will be happy to PM you some genuine pics."

OK, plenty of gotchas there too -- but wouldn't it be nice if there were guarantees on both sides that everyone would be a straight shooter, and that ladies didn't have to worry about creepy weirdos showing up?

I totally understand a provider not wanting to show her face. I wouldn't if I was in the biz. If you have tats v over them or shoot around them. There are plenty of ways to show what you look like and still not be recognized from your pics. I hope this isn't considered shilling, but Anastasia Fantasia does a great job of showing exactly what you are getting, but I would never recognize her on the street from her pics..

In this case I think we will allow it......

Long, long ago when I began in this crazy world of fun I used pictures that were a representation of myself.  I did this for my safety as we all have real live careers outside of the play area:)  I was called out by clientele and from there on fixed the situation.  Now the photos I use are of myself, with only a sliver of my face showing.  In the end it's up to you what you decide to do.  Personally, looking back, I should have just used my own photos.

Cheers!

Marie

I always thought your real pics were better than the representative ones anyway.

Always worth remembering that what we as individuals might consider a flaw of ourself others might desire.

I'm already beginning to recognize that, myself. And that's why I love this hobby so much! The ones who reach out to me were seeking ME. I don't feel self conscious with clients like I do with men in the "dating" world.
