Posted July 27, 2017 Denver Art Museum has one of the best Western and Native American art collections. When they do have a major exhibit, usually world class (next one is in February, Degas, only US showing). Red Rocks. Especially if want to get a workout in (climbing the stairs up to it, stairs in the amphitheater as well). Some great breweries and distilleries. Also very good dining scene. Unfortunately, Rockies are out of town. Really nice ballpark, good food and beer options, nice way to spend a sunny afternoon. If have a car, Rocky Mountain National Park is great to visit. Or, take the drive up to the top of Mt. Evans and walk the last couple hundred feet to the summit (easy way to bag a 14er). 0 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Posted July 27, 2017 *waves* Welcome to Colorado! If you are only here for a few hours, enjoy downtown and some of the restaurants that are reviewed in the 5280. Most of their opinions are pretty spot on. The Union Station is pretty cool. Enjoy our new light rail as it is convenient and keeps you out of the traffic. Or you could head up to the mountains and do a little hiking to enjoy the scenery. Speaking of scenery, if you ever want you could meet up and say hello to some of us ladies and we can show you the ropes if you ever professionally visit here.
