"Felt like the Maids have been Watching us"

18 posts in this topic

I'm probably overreacting here, but recently I was told by someone I wanted to see that they felt like the maids were "...watching and knew who they were and knew everyone that came and went." My problem is, I didn't take the hint and went through with the appointment anyway.

My question is, if I left without seeing anyone, am I probably okay?

So.. the maids get something to chatter about and a cheap thrill in knowing?

It's no big deal I think.  I've seen multiple comments from hotel staff online where they say basically as long as there is no problems caused, they have no problems with what goes on.

Here's something to think about.  Take a look at the total number of gals on lets say, COS backpage since it's easier to figure.  Most of them are working out of hotels if you read the ads.  Divide by the total number of hotels in COS.  You're probably looking at maybe 1-2 girls working in each possible hotel at any point in time, at least.

The other side of the comments was yeah, hotel staff generally can figure out who is working.  Though apparently one time, some new night auditor at a hotel called the cops who tried to bust some woman in her room.  Ended up she was a VP at Hewlett Packard, having meetings on some major hush hush business deal, which explains the professional looking guys who kept coming and going from the room at all hours.  Yeah there were lawsuits...

I'd worry more about front desk workers than the maids. I don't think the maids want to draw any LE attention to the hotels since a lot of them may be illegals.

I don't think the front desk wants to explain to their bosses why a couple squads rolled up to the front door and dragged someone kicking and screaming out... in front of all their other guests unless it was absolutely necessary.  Like other guests being harassed, things like that.

Thanks so much for all the responses, that really sets my mind at ease. The more I think about it, if something were going to happen to me, it probably would have happened as I was leaving.

Smart girls will tip the maids and other staff. I used to tip the maids $20. I got extra towels, comped room service a few times, and no hassles. It's been about 8 years since I used a hotel now...don't miss it. The reason I stopped using them was the Hotel off N. Academy had a binder with all the working girls photos in it. They flipped to my page and informed me that they knew who I was, and they were calling the cops. My hotel days were DONE! So, watch the front desk staff.

I was at a adult video convention in Dallas many years ago, when, upon checking out,saw vice load working girls into a van. HUGE bust was going down, front desk clerk told me I was just about the only guy with a room that had no ladies visiting. In Las Vegas, a hotel I stayed at for years for the annual AVN Convention, the Casino Royalle, knocked on my door and told us to leave because  two girls came in with me. We were shooting stills and were told that shooting any kind of porn was not tolerated there. Then there was the time when a female porn star friend of mine,on awards show night, came with me to my hotel room . I simply was changing from convention floor wear to a nice clean tuxedo. As we opened the door to leave, vice and management were there to bust us.We explained what we were doing and they rapidly apologized .Especially when we showed them our tickets to the awards show Their security cameras probably backed us up. We were not disturbed upon our return. As for Denver..just heard stories .

me and this lady went to get a room and the guy at the front desk said we couldn't rent a room, he was an ass about it, she wasn't dressed like a hooker so I don't know what his issue was?

also met a lady  from Craigslist  before they shut down adult services and I was walking to the front door to meet the lady and she waives at me and continues to walk up to the cop car in parking lot, I already knew the room # so I went up on her request, little scared that she was talking with the cop but ended up having a great time with her.

So you went through with appointment but did not see anyone?? What are you talking about??? Did you get to hotel chicken out and no show her and this is cover for her rant or bl??? But in answer to question even if you did see someone if le did not stop you before you got off the premises you are golden. And of course the maids etc know what is going on. Hopefully she treats them well. 😎

A long time ago (well, a few years ago) in a city far, far away (adjacent state) that is well know for its dislike of our little trysts, I had an outcall doubles session in my room in a 4 star hotel.  It was great! Unfortunately, during the most frenetic moments of our session, one of the ladies kicked over an open bottle of baby oil. It spilled all over a leather couch.  After the session, it was discovered.  I did my best to clean it up...but alas...I had not the tools or skills to do it right.

I thought about just checking out and if it came up blame it on earlier occupants...but that was not right.  I was responsible.  So as I checked out I told the guy at the desk that a guest had spilled baby oil, and if they could not adequately clean the leather to bill me.

The next day I got a personal phone call from the manager.  A woman. No doubt she had viewed the security footage showing me escorting a couple of sweet young things up to my room.  There was a great deal of amusement in her voice.  But she told me that thanks to my prompt warning, they had been able to clean the couch with no staining. She thanked me for being a good customer.

Moral of the story:  Be a good customer that shows concern for the hotel environment, atmosphere, property, and act discretely, and most places will look the other way.

I took it to mean that he did not see any housekeeping/maintenance/etc.

Re: OP: As others have pointed out, might be on video. Remember reading an article on what hotels/motels are doing to monitor this. On the lookout for guys hanging out at side doors, looking to be let in. Guys hanging out in the lobby. Room booked with cash vs credit. One that was interesting: lots of porn being watched in the room (guess as part of the billing for that to the room, have a computer program that can spit out statistics).

Probably not, but, reviews on travel sites complaining about the hookers working in the next room is not good either. As per above, same article if I recall correctly, the CEO of the hotel chain had the same attitude at first re: image of rousting hookers, but changed their mind, as it looked better being proactive on trafficking (just saying what she said, not wanting to open the dead horse topic of misleading stats around that).

Seem to recall a different article, and maybe a thread on this board, where hotels are building dossiers of escort ads for this purpose.

I agree, I always tip the hospitality staff who clean my rooms. When I check-in I try to be careful about not repeating places or using an online company to book. I used to carry business cards, but I ghost write for a couple foodie blogs and beauty blogs so I always ask for a room where I can have quiet to work. Bringing my laptop usually keeps the staff at bay.

I've noticed some places keep that binder to scare people, but I also noticed the bigger hotels don't care what you're up to as long as you're paying for their expensive rooms. I typically don't worry though, let the maids talk. Just remember to slip them a little cash.

I simply don't do hotels, period. I do either Uber in, or do go pick up. The only maids I see are the ones that wear a uni at my crib and that's happened once. The crew that cleans my crib every other week, are my domestic engineers. Private Ins, or here. Only on 2 occasions have I rented a room in my name to have fun. My 1st when I was a noob, my 1st Lady, the 2nd cause she gets car sick if I drive her to my crib. Big mistake on the 2nd, she was a bump on the log, so donation, and room. That'll never happen again.

Ahh, my bud, Fishindude, you are missing out on some adrenaline-pumping fun.  Put down the paddle, get out of the boat, and go visit a few gals in hotels.  I love visiting gals in hotels!

It makes me feel like I am in one of those novels where odd things happen to people who venture out of their usual waters.  The nods to the concierge, the smile at the front desk, the confident walk to the elevator, on my want to see a beautiful young woman for God knows what form of ecstacy: fuckin' right dudes, I'm Bond, James Bond (tugs at his cuffs and straightens his tie in the mirrored elevator door, just as it opens...).

Nahhh, for gals that camp there, don't like the clutter. Just taking out the hotel routine has provided me my level of comfort. I've been fortunate because almost exclusively I'm an outcall. Nobody's thieved me yet. That being said, I see no noob gals. I'm quite comfortable in  my own skin right now.

OK, you are a happy and content man, and the gals love you, so I cannot possibly critique your approach.  However, I will tell you that I have seen significantly more sunsets and sunrises that you have, you whippersnapper you, and I have discovered somewhat recently that comfort is the enemy of life (or, more precisely, it is my opinion that comfort is the enemy of life).

Indeed.
