They will charge you to sign your own stuff. There is usually a limit on how many autographs you can get from one celebrity....they have to keep the line moving. Some celebs will only sign what you buy from them, best to look at their rules on the comic con website. They also charge big bucks to have a photo taken with them.

Not really. The AVN. and GC..everyone signs and poses for free. The Exxxotica they charge..but for a helluva lot less than Comiccon. example..Exxxotica ,you pay $10-$20 to get a picture with the star. Comicon..$100 and up for a photo.

Looked at their website and some of the D-Listers are charging $50 per item to autograph. (yikes)  Back during the VSDA Convention years, I got Shatner,Sulu etc for free. Then video stores went out of business and the Video Software Dealers Association faded into the sunset. Oh well, those were the days.

I'm only interested in Buffy actors, specifically James Marsters. Oooo and Firefly of course. To the OP, I'm a poor nerd and just to get tickets is too rich for my blood. Gotta pay for school. It's ok though, Spike said he'd wait for me....lol

Sadly, had to give up my press pass as I'll be out of town . Yes,the tickets plus the cost of autographs equals need to win the lottery.

Tough call...as Denver Comic Con  likes to be very family friendly . You could give it a shot, but don't be surprised if security takes it away. They are infamously tight as to what can and cannot be brought in.

Skipping it this year. Last year was beyond crowded and uncomfortable. I actually find the cost of entry to be quite reasonable considering everything that's available. A one day ticket for Friday is only $38 and three day tickets although long sold out were only $82. In years past I have bought and shared the weekend pass with others that want to go.

The autographs can get pricey and some are worth the price but not the time some of the lines are hours long. Last year when Stan Lee was there people were forking over hundreds to get a just a minute with him. The year the Firefly cast was there was also insane, they had their own private tent so no one would hover. It gets chaotic.

There also ways to enjoy DCC without going. There are tons of parties and special events that take place over that weekend. Lannie's has done super hero burlesque shows, costume parties and things of the like.

For nerdy events outside of comic con, always check Event Brite, Alamo Drafthouse and oddly enough the Tattered Cover. The Alamo and Tattered Cover are co-hosting an event with Bruce Campbell in September. Tattered Cover will be hosting a signing of his new book and the Alamo will be showing the preview of the new season of Ash Vs Evil Dead. It's gonna be groovy.

I had no idea Mercedes was in Playboy! I knew charisma carpenter was and of course bought a copy. Like JR said, might get confiscated.
