I know this particular crowd is probably the wrong place to ask, but what kind of guy actually thinks this is the right way to make first contact?

Does that ever work?

Where you at?

Right now I'm at at a quiet and happy place in my life. I'm grateful for that as it doesn't come around too often for me.

Loving the new pup, teaching him the "ropes" he's a good and smart little boy. Long walks in the country. By the river usually. Soak up the sun and fresh air.

Life is good...To be enjoyed.

At least he didn't say "Yo Where You At" Do like one of your friends you've seen. Send him the address of LWPD. If anything else just for giggles.

I suppose asking "Where you be?" wouldn't change your first impressions much then.

My favorite is "I'm looking for something??"

I respond with "what does it look like and do you remember where you last saw it??"

And anything with yo involved.

Now, now. I once knew a lady who went by 'Yo" and her involvement in anything was definitely a good thing. Sigh. May have to try and find her in thinking about!! 😎

Never forget to ask 'are you a gagger?"

(sarcasm notification for those blind to it)

There's a place in Windsor, CO called "Mr. Yo's Donuts".   Quite possibly the best in Colorado.  Thanks Laci, now I'm craving donuts...  B)

I thought about going with the Fonzie "Ayyy!". It is short and to the point.

It lets the lady know that I'm cool and a true ladies man. It sends a message of sophistication and a connoisseur of classic tv and all things cultural. Since it is an older show, it lets the young lady know that I'm fine mature gentleman. It is only one word, four letters, but what more needs to be said?

Nope. Well, not for me anyway. Can't say the same for other ladies.

The one I see in my google voice all the time is, "hi bb". Yes, that is exactly what they say.

I'll respond to the crap first responses like this when It's slow or I'm bored. Once in a blue moon one will pan out and they'll turn out to be an older c suite executive or something and talk like complete morons over text but are polished in person, it's bizarre.

I've gotten that back from providers as well.   I've always wondered what little round projectiles from a toy gun has to do with me.  Wait, maybe they're trying to tell me something... :(
