Why "freebies" are not the norm..........

They also see

  • some YL's offering discounts for reviews.
  • Available now Specials
  • Old reviews with a lower rate

So my guess is they think, doesn't hurt to ask. But they are wrong, it does hurt to ask if the answer is no.

Look if the YL has a rate higher than I want to pay for, I don't contact them. I mark them excluded on P411, so next time I'm in their city, I never see them in the list.

The hey girl what will you do for $50 crowd isn't really looking for reviews. There aren't a whole lot of reviews that mentions discounts, our reviews don't even mention price anymore. I've never seen an ad that says ask me for discounts!

If a dude is asking for discounts because he saw any of those things you listed they're still a prick that thinks they're above rules.

But aren't you in fact changing the relationship by making the cold call? The part about liking the guy's company could be misconstrued as possible feelings and an elevated status beyond a typical client.

Note I do agree with you on asking for freebies and for that matter reduced rates. So I'm not disputing that.

I'd be a little weirded out if my plumber called and said he missed my company and also wanted to clean my pipes out.  But here, where there the lines are a bit blurry, I'd have no problem with contact being made with me as long as it wasn't pushy.  While it's still business after all, there can be actual enjoyment of your company.

But wouldn't think just contact like that was some sort of green light, at least without a hell of a lot of other signs, such as being explicitly told that it was the case.  I'm a guy, sometimes I need nuance spelled out for me.

Nuance? May as well be a foreign language for most men.

I have a donation number I refuse to go above for 1 hour sessions. Hard rule. Had my eye on a YL for probably 1.5 years but she was above my value proposition. Finally saw her running a special at my number & I jumped. Wonderful wonderful visit. Told her so. Also mentioned how long I had been wanting to see her but that her donation had been a little steep. She responded, "Well, why didn't you just ask? I would have met you for that all along."

Does that make me a dumb ass for never inquiring?

I cannot count the number of times I have been asked for money by a ASP damsel in distress who promised to "make up for it later." I can count exactly how many times that worked out for me: once. Is that not the provider equivalent of asking for a freebie--donation without any service?

Life is not black & white; provider/hobbyist dynamics are no different.

One lady told me her response to guys that try to lowball her is "For $50 you can come over and I'll give you a kick in the balls". That made me perk up and I said "Cool, how often do you run that special".

Lol! I know some clients that would probably want that too!

There are a some really sweet sensual guys that I just adore, and sometimes we will go over our time. That is kind of like a freebie, but an out and out freebie is not likely to happen. Although we truly enjoy most of your company, this is our job (albeit a superfun job). There is so much overhead, and behind the scenes details that go into ensuring you guys have a good time. It's not just showing up for an hour. It would not behoove us to be giving out free services.  I don't think too many folks would work for free. I don't mind a special treat for those that have been so good to me once in awhile though.

So many different ways this topic has gone.

First, I have had my ATF not only offer, but encourage, a few freebie sessions.  I guess YMMV but if you truly value your clients, some customer appreciation is the NORM in the world of services and some ladies could, IMO, learn from that.

Lucy said that she raised her rates for "everyone" and even her "nicest clients" balked at it.  Yes, I would too.  If I had been seeing you long enough to be a "regular" and you raise your rates...well...now I have to make a business decision.  One of the reasons I come to you is the "value" because of the low rate.  When you raise it for me now I have to decide if you're still the same value or not.

Why make your best clients make that decision?

I don't figure all clients are the same.  Many are "1 and done" and you shouldn't ever give those guys a "break".  But if you have seen them several times, things are easier for you both...no references needed, no background check required, no weirdness.  Infact, its easy.  For this reason, I strongly believe its worth it for a woman to offer her "regulars" some perks.  Discounts?  Freebies on your bday?  How about a surprise 3-way when he only expects one of you?  That kind of thing.  Its HOW you create repeat business in a world where there's a lot of competition.

Casino's, Subway, Hotels, Home Depot, Applewood Electricians/Plumbers, UNITED AIRLINES (LMAO) even Hiiton ALL have a punch card, rewards card, or frequent flyer program that offers freebies...why don't providers?

The answer is...the good ones who value good repeat customers do.

"Anything that eats can be trained"

My customers are trained to wait until the end of the quarter and ask for a discount. My profession and peers have trained my customers. I don't blame them, I don't even blame my current peers, it is part of my industry. The purchasing departments go to seminars to learn how to ask for discounts, how much others have gotten and how to play hard ball. There are entire business based on how to get the best price. They have all signed NDA's to never disclose the price they paid, and yet they do.

If this is a business, and well all agree it is, then don't be surprised about market forces.

The customer that offer me the equivalent for "How much for $50" get the same reaction from me as they do you. I kick them in the balls.  And they go to my competition. Nothing makes me happier than my competition getting a crap customer.

*Note: I've always paid the listed rate or more. I've never asked for a discount, and like Kinkster, I pass on people above my value prop rate.

*I'm on your side.

I agree and disagree on a few points here. Let me explain.

I don't give "freebies" because that then tends to imply that I want something more, and in this industry that can easily blur the fine line between a business and something else. Not a good idea. I do offer a free treat to guys I really know(if they tell me in advance of their bday or special days) I try to get them something that they will enjoy. Sex is never free in any circumstance. Also, a 3 way will never be thrown in unless you're in a personal situation and it is a spur of a moment scenario. Us providers like to get paid not give out a specialty for free. If you have gotten one of those, then consider yourself lucky, but I have never known another provider to throw herself into a session and not expect zero compensation.

I do agree that you should treat your regulars differently then new clients, and the rate should be different for both. I am planning on doing something similar in the next few weeks with my regulars having set rates, and new clients paying more. Things are just getting more expensive, and with us providers struggling to make ends meet...we have to do what is best. The other issue is that this area is oversaturated with providers, and raising the rate makes it less stressful when the clientle aren't calling like they use to due to countless new fish in town. It is the nature of the beast when it comes to this kind of industry.

Do take in consideration that the huge corporations you mentioned handing out freebies make millions monthly. We are lucky if we average 5K a month! Handing out freebies is less we make, and time is money for us.

There are many ways we take care of our regular customers but ' free " iti is not.   You want something free -then the businesses which have the where withal to do so. One small lady who is her own company of one...does not.   This not now nor has it ever been a poor man's sport.  We offer our naked bodies and oft times our intellect. We support ourselves and our families. Besides the bottom line is you pay us for our professionalism.   Which alsomeans to go away with no strings also.🍀

My first encounter on the local level was on my birthday.  I figured I was treating myself to a present, and one I wouldn't have received otherwise.  I can't imagine now asking for this to be a gift. If you ask for a gift, it is not a gift.  Now if it was offered, that is another story.  But this gift would certainly be reciprocated.  Like any service industry where gratuities are acceptable and a free or discounted service is offered, I would reward the kindness.  All that said, there is an issue with the vagaries in advertising here and what is the true rate.

Ok, so I am a nerd but I like to try to put data to a question instead of relying on anecdotes.

  • 142 ads on TOB say "specials" in the description.  Overstated as several YLs advertise in more than one area at the same time.
  • 63 ads on TOB say "specials" in the title.  Slightly overstated as well.
  • 71 out of 200 available now ads on P411 currently have the "specials" symbol that signifies "This provider offers specials in her available now ad."

Many of these don't say what the special is, so is it okay to ask when it is advertised?

Likewise, there are several YLs on this board that create confusion by:

  • Rotating ads with different rates.
  • State a specific discounted rate in a "one time" special ad over and over.
  • Run concurrent ads with different rates, sometimes here and sometimes on different boards or their own website.

Where there is confusion, should I pay the lowest rate, pay somewhere in the middle, pay the top rate and consider the "extra" a gratuity?

Lucy mentions a clear "all customers" language.  Great!  Clears up any confusion.  Don't be a d-bag and assume you are the one special customer that doesn't fit in the "all customers" category.  If a YL is clear and you don't like the rate, move on to one that you are okay with.  It's okay to make choices, but don't expect the person you choose to reduce her self value to your estimation of her value.

I love analytics applied to a business, here is one more.

  • 134 reviews on this site have the word "Discount" in them somewhere. (context may apply, I didn't read 134 reviews)

Anything that eats can be trained.

Value in quotations, did you mean cheap? My rates were low, lower than they should have ever been considering the value of the product. My value doesn't change, what you're willing to pay is not a measure of my value.

This is the reason I raised my rates. I don't want clients looking for "value", I want clients that are willing to pay my asking price because it's me they really want to see and they understand I am trying to make a living. Guys that want the lower rates are generally pretty inconsiderate, they often want short notice, which means they cancel short notice and I've wasted a bunch time trying to make a hundred bucks. I don't owe anyone a cheap rate that doesn't actually understand that my time is valuable.

I did renegotiate with my regulars, some stayed at the same rate but most didn't. My costs have gone up so my rates needed to go up too. Too many guys want 2010 rates in 2017. It's also way too complicated to have varying rate structures for regulars and new clients. I have clients that I have seen weekly for 5+ years, so why would I guy I see maybe 5 times a year deserve the same sort of grandfathered rate? It just gets to be too much. When everyone pays the same my income is much easier to predict and my business is easier to control.

In my opinion freebies, discounts and negotiations all fall under the same umbrella. These requests come from guys that do not value a provider's time and have assigned their own value and sometimes that value is $0. A client offering anything less than my posted asking price is offensive, asking for a freebie is just as obnoxious as hey baby I got $50.

Value is an incredibly loaded word, but Lucy is totally correct here.

A transaction will take place when the value expected (note I did not say received) is greater than or equal to the amount paid.  If the amount of value in the estimation of the buyer is not received, then it will be a one time transaction and a lesson learned.  If the value is equal, who knows.  If the value is greater, then repeat transactions will likely occur.  Even if the value is not received, it's still supposed to be fun, right?  And the journey in finding the one or several that provide a value in excess of the cost is even more fun!

If I am visiting someone for the first time, and they are running a "special," heck yes, that is the amount of consideration I leave.  On any repeat visits, I refuse, just as a point of honor, to request or to accept any "discounts" or "specials."  I would never ask for a freebie or a discount, simply because I think it is low-class to do so.  My ATFs show their appreciation for regulars in lots of fun and unique ways (cookies, special activities, a few extra minutes, etc.), but I just think it is sleazy to ask for or accept a discount.  A girl's gotta eat!

In your experience, why do you think guys ask for freebies or feel as though they're entitled to one? Or offer up unwarranted attitude as you suggest?

I don't put it past anyone to try to get away with really anything. So it comes as no surprise to me these things actually occur. It just seems as though they'd stem from somewhere.

I think that some people just become complacent with their provider they have been seeing off and on.

Sadly said is once you do give someone a break. No mater what you do? It all comes back on you for doing so. Every time the client calls he is going to expect to only have to pay the lower rates if you cut him a deal to began with. If you are comfortable with that one individual? That is one thing...Yet if it bothers you that you gave him a deal and now he will be  looking for other ways to take advantage of you? When it happens it is high time to explain your true feelings,or block the call.

Bye bye! Don't bump your butt on the door on the way out!

Best way to handle such a delema is to not to give deals or specials to anyone.

I once had a SO try to manufacture a talking point for himself during an argument and accuse me of fucking him over by giving away free sessions. To such a preposterous notion I could not/cannot reply emphatically enough:

GIVING A FREEBIE WOULD NOT ONLY FUCK YOU OVER (as per the agreement and understanding of that - now defunct - relationship) BUT, MORE IMPORTANTLY, IT FUCKS ME OVER!! I'M NOT DOWN WITH THAT, SO YOU CAN PUT YOUR WORRIES TO REST.

What's that saying...why pay for a gallon of milk when they're giving away free samples?

Freebies are doable.  I'm lucky to have had a few, and they are probably the best sexual experiences I've ever had.

The key is the lady needs to be certain that it doesn't mean "free for all time going forward".  That's bullshit.

Also, I've never asked for one.  That falls into the category of "obviously stupid".

Hi Jez. Long time. As to the question "why," I think there are two issues at play. One, we're all assholes, though not everyone will admit it. Two, I think every guy has a subconscious need to feel "special." In fact, that fantasy drives a lot of clients insane, because, as some have noted, it's really just a business transaction. It does, however, involve a level of intimacy, and that can't be brushed aside so easily. Guys will push the issue, because they need to feel they've somehow stood out in the provider's mind, or perhaps they've even fallen in love.

I had a relationship with a provider in Dallas long ago, and you're right, it was very different. I'd never experienced such joy, but I got possessive and every client of hers broke my heart. Too bad, for everything else was terrific. But I digress.

Gentlemen, here is why we don't offer you a "freebie"". Because then the dynamics of the client/ provider relationship changes.  I have heard this from my sister providers, and experienced this myself.   Often we ladies will  hear from our clients and one- a- be clients, "How about a b-day freebie ,babycakes".   In answer to that one- when has anyone given you a gift with a value in the two to three hundred dollar range? Your  SO maybe, and that is a easy bet that doesn't happen frequently.

And when we do give you a freebie, you gents seem to think we will always want to give you a freebie.  Sorry guys, it just doesn't work that way. This is a business to us. And don't get me wrong- I am having a ball doing it.( Pun intended) But our services are not to be expected as free .Ever. A gift is a gift. Don't take it for granted.

Nice and  respectfully said I don't think I've ever done it for free but if I did I guess this is how I would feel . Spoken like a real lady to I'm guessing you're someone very special guys would be very lucky to have you

I think that is so wrong to ask for a freebie, even if it is their birthday they shouldn't even ask for a discount, they should casually mention it's their birthday and let the provider decide to offer a discount. I have meet a few providers and most of them call me back asking if i want company, but it was always business. I am fortunate enough to have met a provider who wants to hangout, I don't even think of it as freebies, we don't even consider each other as a provider or client anymore, more like f**k buddies. I think she has developed feelings for me, don't know why, I am just an average "Joe", not the most handsome guy and about 30lbs overweight, maybe it's because I am not so selfish in the bedroom. I don't know, I am just happy that with her being a provider who meets a lot of different guys, she likes being with me, sooo freaking lucky
