BP-no AA in the ads

132 posts in this topic

I've been seeing this in ads for a long time. It just dawned on me it means no African Americans. I thought they were talking Alcoholics Anonymous. Lol. I thought why older alcoholics were better than younger? I need to get out more. Sheeesh.

It's a "each their own" type of business.   LOL but I AM afraid you have missed the mark with the Alcoholics Anonymous thing. LOL

I am personally very turned off by ads that post "no AA" and see it as being low life unethical business practices.

I agree. This is why ladies should learn to screen, then they can avoid what they don't want to see. I don;t understand it myself as I rarely have problems with AA's, but some ladies get client calls that I never get.

That does create an amusing scenario in my mind.....ladies refusing to see members of Alcoholics Anonymous.......Either show up to your session drunk, or not at all......

Besides the NBA policy the following have also caught my attention and had me pondering. . .

1. No bald Guys. <- what if they show up with a wig? Would she be mad if the bills had Ben Franklin on them, Completely bald, how about comb overs? Could the men wear a hat? Safety Helmet?

2. No men with mustaches <- beards okay? Really long side burns? How bought I leave my surgical mask on?

3. Handsome Executives <- Damn I look good in my mind, buy cameras and mirrors present a different image. What if they are Jr Executives, What if they are handsome and independently wealthy but not executives, What if they are retired handsome executives.

Any other "I won't see" in ads?

With exception of the Ladies I know and trust on BP, I personally won't see anyone from there. Place honestly scares me.

In most cases Ladies on BP that put no AA in their ads, do not have the ability or the confidence within them self to provide a good time.

Just as it's they're business whom they:

  • bake a cake for
  • serve at their lunch counter
  • ...

I've heard it said that the 'No AA' is because either they're fearful of being pimped or that their pimp is fearful of competition.

BTW: This is a possible downside to legalization. Who they serve becomes the government's business.

I think there is a reason for that and that it's slightly different than why white women refuse to see black men.

Don't think that either the 14th or 15th amendments' to the Constitution guaranteed the right to see the escort of one's choice.

Personally I don't say it, and I definitely used to judge girls that did. A fellow AA provider informed me that a lot of black clients have tried to pimp or short her and that its not uncommon. While I refuse to let some bad apples spoil the bunch for ME, I can no longer judge another providers choice. What if they had a traumatic experience? There are usually reasons for that disclaimer.

BTW black providers get to read stuff like that all the time on these spaces ("no ebony sorry just my preference", etc). It stings but again, I don't judge. To each their own.

I could probably start a new thread with this, but since it's my first post ever on here (long time watcher from the bleachers)... I'm often curious about how I am thought of by the YL's I meet. I consider myself a successful business owner, but my business is construction, and while I have employees and a payroll, I also have the trademarks of a true working man ie; rough hands, farmers tan, broken down old bones. I work very hard and like to occasionally take an afternoon for some r&r, but while I know where to find my shower, toothbrush and razor, I still find myself very self conscious of those things I can do nothing about. I guess my questions are.. How do you determine success? If someone is clean and respectfull, are the rough hands of a working stiff a turn off? I've taken 20 years to build my business, but still can't bring myself to not be in the thick of it with my guys. I just wonder if I really need to be that self conscious, because it really does keep me from requesting time with some ladies who I feel (from the short snipit that is their ads) might be put off by a "successful" working man.

Moose, I would suggest contacting the ladies you desire to see, pass screening and make an appointment. Make sure your fingernails aren't ragged. You can soften your hands in the kitchen with sugar and liquid soap then moisturize with coconut or olive oil. A person who loves what he does and is comfortable in that skin is what counts to me, not what shade it is.

Gentlemen who see "No AA" can't do a thing to even attempt to see a lady who he was interested in. There have been many threads over the years on this topic and many reasons. I read somewhere a woman who said she didn't want to run into anyone from her community (church, friend's husband, etc). That could apply to a variety of ladies for a variety of reasons. Personally,  I just don't like assholes (no matter what shade ;)

This is done in your mind, not the mind of others.

You don't. Based on what you described as your line of work, I would say you are likely in better shape than the suit wearing "Executives". You are a boot wearing exec that is successful.

Awwwwwww... I am glad you joined in to tell us your story.  I am sure you are not alone in your worries;. We all worry about something!!! It sounds like some fun and a good oily massage is overdue.

I would have to imagine that many of the YL's have dish pan hands.  It would be nice in the RW if we could be soft and pampered.  Not my reality!!

No. Some of us like our men rugged and hardworking. Make the calls.

Besides, it's Colorado.  Most of us guys are pretty dried out in the first place, and don't use moisturizer or lotion.  Well, everywhere.

Moose, yeah, make the calls.  Even start out the session with a nice hot oil massage.  They're going to take great care of you.

Hey, Bullwinkle, my guess is that the definition of successful for most ladies is whether you can scratch up their requested donation: if so - success!

I was a carpenter for quite a few years, and got a whole lot more free tail then than I did after I started indoor work.  Go for it! Wash your hands, file your nails, rub in some hand lotion, make the freaking call!  My guess is that the majority of ladies on this board would prefer a rugged business-owner kind guy any day of the week and twice on Sunday, gnarly old hands and all.  The personality that shows through in your post indicates to me that you will likely show up on time, be polite and quickly become a favorite with the ladies.

People who are racist are taught to hate. There is only one race, that is the human race. I would like to point out that the man who sprained my ankle few years ago was a white man and not black man.

You are, of course, right about racist people, and about the human race. That said, I don't think we can dismiss as racist every lady who advertises "no AA".  Indeed, I have seen many ads from Ebony Providers who advertise "no AA". I kinda doubt they are racists . I have seen many providers ads saying "no AA under 40...or under 30"......as if all younger men are alike.  I believe what happens here is that providers and clients, in an attempt to make this industry more "legitimate", begin to embrace and apply concepts from traditional businesses that do not really apply...such as the "OTHER AA".......Affirmative Action. We have all read here how unappreciative the ladies here are of being compared to food, or being pressured or told what they can or "should" do with their bodies. Well, a session is certainly not like a buying a meal, a gym membership, renting a house, getting a job, seeing the doctor...etc. Affirmative Action does not apply!  The provider has the right to refuse service to anyone she chooses for any reason she chooses. As far as I am concerned, if a lady does not wish to see any particular group of people that is her right and why is none of my business. Criticizing her, or labeling her for that choice is no different AT ALL than criticizing and labeling her if she does not offer BBBJNQNS....in either case, someone is trying to control her right to make choices about her own body.

I always assumed "No AA" was a ruse anyway. I'll really be worried when I see ads that are more specific, i.e., " No short, fat, balding Irishmen with tiny dicks". That'll eliminate guys like me from the hobby altogether. I may have to take up tennis when I see that ad show up.
