Thanks for the notice. I may check them out in ABQ, CS, or Denver depending on my vagabond ways. Looks like fun.

Well, there are gals with a few tattoos, and then there are gals with bodysuits.

My thanks also for the heads up. I'll just miss some of the dates in FL, I may have to catch them in NC or VA.

Taking it briefly sorta off topic: a Suicide Girls burlesque show would be a very meh show for me due to above. Not much novelty in Suicide Girls these days imo.

Tattoos never were a turn-on for me, and as pointed out, so many women have ink, and at times, so much, I'm more amazed and turned on when I see no ink on a dancer at a strip-club or a provider.

I wouldn't considering going just to see ladies with tattoos, that's just a little too much circus sideshow from days long past.  I would consider going because they're entertainers putting on a good show.  I would be disappointed if it was "Look at me! I have tats!"

Strippers without ink always made more $$ than those with,in the local clubs. That said,I have read good reviews on the Suicide Girls show as being  entertaining. Not planning on going myself. For those that are..enjoy !

They have shows in both Denver and Colorado Springs.  April 19 and 20.  Sounds like a fun time!

Indeed it does sound like a fun time.  Anyone have any idea how mixed the crowd is at the Springs venue relative to age - would an old fart feel/be made to feel completely out of place?

Burlesque is almost a lost art. I'm glad to see it starting to return to some more upscale venues. I remember going the the TX Burlesque Fest a few years ago with a provider friend. Annie Sprinkle was the MC.

It's so much about stripping, more about the dance & comedy.

Almost a lost art ?? I beg to differ. There are burlesque clubs  ,schools and an annual convention in Denver and many other cities. As a mild mannered reporter ,I have had the privilege of covering many of them . About 15 years ago I would have agreed with you,but not anymore.  Its not just the national revues coming thru here. There is a thriving local scene too !

Agree with JRWolfe: a number a troupes in the area. Heck, about ten years ago, there was a group of former Bronco cheerleaders that had a  burlesque act, that included ESPN's Michelle Beisner. I believe Wade Phillips's daughter was involved as well (she's the belly dancer in the film "Charlie Wilson's War").

"Lannie's Clocktower" has regular burlesque shows.

I go to a burlesque show to be entertained, not to be aroused. Besides after living in nudist colonies, just looking at 'the goods' isn't all that special.

I stand corrected. I should have used 'was' instead if 'is'. Like the resurgence of many old crafts it is returning.

I remember the burlesque theaters of Chicago as they transitioned to porn movies before being closed for "urban renewal". I remember as late as 1980 a few traveling acts and clubs where the gals could really dance. But as our 'gotta have it NOW!' society took over the gals who took their clothes off on stage & wiggled their snatch in your face began to dominate the clubs. No wonder the feminist complain about strip clubs; talk about objectifying women.  The 'art' was misplaced, much as the use of hand tools in woodworking gave way to machines.

I for one am very glad to see the rediscovery of 'the art'.

If you ever decide to attend the Gentleman's Club convention in Vegas, you will see that the top strippers in the country have a lot of burlesque in their stage shows. The PTs chain and Shotguns used to bring in these headliners, but don't seem to anymore. Platinum 84 was bought by the Scores chain and they bring them in once a month. Check these  headliners out sometime. The cross between how house girls dance and burlesque performs is quite intoxicating.

eek, the black sheep is well, normally a concert venue. No chairs, and about 1/2 the size of a Walgreens. I could think of some much classier venues for those ladies. As for feeling out of place....on any other night yes, but this show, can't say because I don't know who they are attracting.

They are playing a small concert hall in Denver as well.   I'ld say go if you're into the Suicide Girls. Allegedly their following is all ages over 21.
