I am with Chrissy on Wix.com very slowly learning my way around the website just coming up on my second year. As time has continued it's gotten easier. Lucy Kitten helped me out some and so did another provider(not a part of TOB). I also had a client help me out a bit. You ought to checkout profiles on here  that have websites. Find some that speak to you and be like the Greek Goddess Nike and go for it!!😃

Haha wix was my number one choice and I saw a lot of wix sites i loved. I got advice not to go with them because their sites can get pulled if they are adult...im seeing now that isnt true, or at least isnt a big risk. Thank you ladies!

1. Install WordPress on a spare server you have lying around that's not using all it's resources.

2. Find a minimal looking WordPress theme that's popular but not too popular.

3. Grab a domain name from namecheap which has a deal right now where you can get a comodo SSL cert for $2 for first year when buying a new domain name. Add some DNS records pointing your new domain name to your server IP and install your SSL cert in a series of steps I always forget and have to google

Oh just spin up a VM out on AWS.  It's a lot easier than rolling your own hardware anymore... and with LetsEncrypt, you can get your SSL for free, and it does the install for you, no need to remember the steps.  It even puts in the 80->443 redirect.

an AWS micro tier instance would deplete it's CPU credits quickly with the level of traffic an escort site gets. By spare server I meant a $10 Linode with 2GB ram and non CPU credit limited. Google and AWS are ripoffs at small scale. Linode or digital ocean

Didn't know LetsEncrpyt was a thing

Run one of the better cache modules on wordpress, you'll see a big drop in overall CPU.  Of course I was spoiled for the longest time with MSDN enterprise giving me something like 300$ of free azure bucks a month, now I've moved to a micro on AWS hosting my various sites for <10$ a month.  I'm not getting crazy amounts of traffic though and have mostly moved over to drupal.

LetsEncrypt is pretty sweet.  The only "downside" is the certs are only good for 90 days, so when you get your warning email, you just have to login in to the shell and run "letsencrypt renew" and it will take care of all the sites using it, including sending a HUP to Apache when it's done renewing all the certs on the site.  Theoretically you can just run it as a cron job once a week, because if it is too soon for any particular cert, it just ignores it and moves on.

Providers are great at being vague with their words. TS Madison gives reference to WordPress. I have WordPress for a tarot website never activated. I also know Melissa Sterling uses WordPress for her website. All I know from speaking with Melissa is that is is hard to get back on the website to change out pictures. Possibly TS Madison can help you out or one of the others might?

Best of Luck to you pretty Lady!!😘😘

WP Super Cache plugin + CloudFront + t2.micro instance on my wordpress tech blog would still drain the CPU credits for the occasional articles that would blow up in popularity. And they have less ram than Linode and DigitalOcean equivalents annnnd they charge EBS fees vs Linode $10 with 30GB SDD space standard annnd AWS has those random bandwidth fees annnnd you're selling out to the man!

I remember there was an older free SSL cert service run by sketchier people that kept having security breaches and is now defunct. Since LetsEncrypt is sponsored by Mozilla I assume its a little more legit. Well looks like I'll be moving the 10 other sites I run over to https finally, I was too cheap to do it before.

might have been a t2.nano, can't remember. Don't have to deal with aws anymore though c:

Oh and I can jam a million things onto a single Linode instance vs 1 or 2 for a t2 instance

To get to login page type in "/wp-admin" after your url like https://madisonproudmoore.com/wp-admin/

Then go the pages section edit your page. Switch to visual mode if you don't know how to do html/css and hit add media to add a new pic. Finally don't forget to click publish to make the changes live.

There will also sometimes be images you can change in the theme that you have to go to the "Customize" tab in order to get to. And if you had your site's theme custom made the designer is sometimes lazy and hard codes images...

You could post a photo gallery here and set up a p411 acct while you're working on a website...

Thanks Unclehazard92! Advice taken. Gallery complete, awaiting initial review to set up P411.

Have you started running an ad here yet?  You can consider p411 an alternative to the review and reference system used here.
