I was going to give myself a Christmas present this year and see someone who charges more than what I am usually comfortable paying.  Is it worth it?  I usually do not dish out more than 4 bills.  Do the upper end providers actually provide better service than the providers in my price range?  Please PM me if you have any specific ideas of a petite fun gal.  I was also looking at Alex Blanchett or Christina Westbrook.  Anyone have experience with them that can be shared in a pm?  Thank you

I would be more inclined to spend extra $s on an extended session with someone with whom I've previously had a good time. It has been my experience that the marginal return above the $2-250 range is seldom significant.

I would worry that your expectations might not be met just due to the build up. Totally second Banger's comment. Maybe book an extra session (or a longer one -- extra would be my choice) with a current ATF.

This is the best piece of advice you will get this year.  A lot of providers are legends in their own mind.  "You get what you pay"  for is the least accurate phrase in the hobby world.  

 Each year for my birthday/Christmas, since they are the same,  I pick out someone that has a specialty I really like, has a killer body, and a great personality.  When I get all 3, then I treat myself.

My head still spins thinking about the time I spent under the Christmas tree with Wonder.  That was special.

Now wait. You literally did it under a Christmas tree with the legendary Wonder?  As for the answer to the original poster, it seems to me, from my extremely limited experience, that you perhaps get extremely fit providers for a premium price.  I may be wrong about that, so please forgive.

Sometimes it seems hit or miss going more expensive. I'd say if you go double your normal budget you won't get double. However, going more than normal might get you a certain look you really want. If you go looking at twice the fun, it won't be. But new and different, definitely! The doubles idea is a good one, or doing an extra visit. Or going up in price for someone with a unique look and feel. Often you are mainly getting a certain look, which may turn you on more - or may not.

Trust your own gut and instincts on this.  Does a razor with a handcrafted inlaid rosewood handle outperform a Shick Quattro? If you tend towards intangibles when making decisions, go for it.  If a car's a car, buy two.  Or three.
