Is it rude to ask a Provider to point you towards her reviews?

36 posts in this topic

Often on Backpage I see either 1) visiting girls or out of towners and 2) ladies who say "highly reviewed."

I always search TOB.  I also google their number, and I also try to see if eccie/TER have reviews on them.

BUT...what if those don't find the reviews?  Is it rude to text/email a lady and ask her where I can find her reviews?  As has been said many times on this board, you can check reviews to verify price, menu, options, etc.

Do not see why it would be rude, she advertises she has reviews. If they do have reviews they normally have no problem letting you know where they are at.

I agree.  I've asked about reviews and gotten mixed responses, but no one has been offended by the question. Some providers have no idea what I'm talking about (I tend to skip those) while others will point me to a board in another region or give me an old phone # to search.

One would think  that any provider who acts offended would have something to hide- like bad reviews. Reviews are similar to what a consumer report does for an item you wish to purchase. So no, I don't think it is wrong or offensive to ask for a link.  On a personal level I prefer that potential clients read my reviews before contact. I feel that this can answer a lot of questions that a person may have about my level of service, appearance etc.

There is a lot of providers on BP say they are " highly reviewed ", but they don't list any of them.

How many of those that you ask actually lead you to legitimate reviews?

Just ask her. If she gets all upset, that might be a good sign that she is trouble and to steer clear. If she sends you to some with an old phone number or different name, there could be lots of legitimate reasons for the change(crazy ex/stalker/bad reviews/got found out), and it will give you an idea on if you want to see her or not. Personally, I love it when guys ask...it means they are doing their "homework".

If they are the real deal they will not have a problem answering your questions in my experience. On BP, well, it's a crap shoot at best. If you don't find the reviews, that means that they don't exist.

Good luck!

Maybe 60% or so, which I think is pretty good. One pointed me to her single mediocre TER review, but others have pointed me to boards that I don't normally frequent or to an old phone number. This works better over email, though. There's usually an awkward pause when I ask over the phone followed by a clumsy explanation of how to find them.

Well that's good to know! That's a much better return than expected.

I still do my research, though.  I don't just pick a pretty face out on BP. I do my google searches and only contact providers who seem to have some history.

Can you point me to this person's review?

I was just curious. I am sure you still do research but I had always assumed that those who have reviews but don't leave bread crumbs don't actually have reviews. So your success surprised me.

That was going to be my question;  How many Ads do you go through to get to the the Ads that peek your interest then the Ads you end up calling ?

Lots.  I have almost as much fun "shopping" as I do meeting up.

I know I'm a jerk for picking on grammar, but I can't help it. https://www.vocabulary.com/articles/chooseyourwords/peak-peek-pique/  I just want to help, I swear. ;)

Ok then;

After you have reached the peak of your research, how many Ads have you peeked at to get to the the Ads that piqued your interest to the Ads you end up calling ?

Absolutely no, it is not rude.  She opened the topic by stating she has reviews.  It would be FOOLISH and a purely little head move NOT to ask if you are seriously considering!

Well I did find she is on busted escorts.com, do not know how legit this site is, but would keep me away for sure.

Sorry, geecue2, and all due respect, however if you cross off your list every lady on that site and the several others like it you had better be exercising your right (left??) hand cause you are going to need it!! There are several like it.  They are totally bogus and post every escort they can find - especially off BP - to scare folks into using "Adult Friend Finder" or similar "dating" sites.  Totally and completely bogus.

Funny this topic came up. Put out a 411 on someone who's posting said no bad reviews. Which means, she didn't F ing have any, but K man found one. Not to flattering. Anyhow, if the reviews are not from reputable sites....Walk or TOFTT and let us know how it works out. And no I don't think it would be rude to ask.

Yes they can.  And she didn't.

But she says she is.   Which is the point of the OP.   Is it rude to ask where.      Not can they.

Well it makes it easier for the guys if you ad a link to your reviews. Some guys don't know how research properly. Some girls lie and say they have reviews on TOB when they don't. I thinks ok to ask.

If a girl states that she has reviews in her ad then she should be glad to let you know how to find them. If I'm spending my time with this person then I want all the info I can get

Gonna be honest. Not much faith that an amateur french model's working Denver's Backpage.

I almost always ask if I can't find anything. I always search first or just ask where if the ad states it. Never had an issue except this lady

she called me and screamed at me about "how dare you ask such a thing my clients are all happy," etc.
