Posted May 7, 2016 Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me. I don't have to f*** you, give you blow jobs, or provide happy endings. I get free room and board for life. Then your retirement when you kick the bucket. I will feed you red meat, butter, and whiskey shots for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Only one of us needs to enjoy that retirement money The ultimate example of paying for time and companionship. It may be from 1955, but still so many men and women have marriages just like this today. Toss in the wife is on anti-depressants, and the husband is off seeing escorts....it could be the guide for 2016. Ouch, it hurt to write that. I am sure it is going to hurt a few of you to read it. Sorry, but Kaduk started it.

I call my crock pot Betty and when I get home I ask her "What's for dinner sweetie".

Sorry, but Kaduk started it. to be fair the mothers and wives of the 50s and 60s were the OG pill poppers. Modern women just swapped their bennies for adderall and their martinis for craft beer. Marriage in 2016 is more of an equal partnership than it has ever been before. These days we can choose what's acceptable in our marriages.
Posted May 7, 2016 My grandparents both served in the Philippines in the 40s (they had a tropical wedding there) and one day while going through a box of their military memories I found a cookbook for the wives that were there. It was full of recipes on how to cook food from home with local ingredients. It also stated that anytime was a good time for a cocktail. It was wild, so very sexist and informative at the same time.
Posted May 7, 2016 I'm Down With All That (minus taking off his shoes lol)... If I don't have to work, and we have plenty of money to live in comfort and ease with the ability to have Fun anytime we choose. I'm a big fan of Cocktails anytime, but I'm no fan of alcoholics. Also he'd need to have a fat pre-nup set up so I'm taken care of no matter what happens during our marriage lol. If he does not constantly ask me why I do the things I do... I have a rhyme and reason for everything, and I don't need him questioning my every decision/action. If he is fully aware that me knowing my place is that "I'm more than a conqueror". I'm a bird in constant motion who can not ever have her wings held down causing my progress to be stifled. If he is full of Love, Generosity, Hope and Mercy for all people. If he is fun, and his thoughts, speech and actions are extremely positive and uplifting ;-)

Posted May 7, 2016 My folks got married in 1955. And things were kind of like that until 1969 when we finally got a second car. Once Mom was able to get out and about on her own, things changed. They got divorced a few years later. I saw where somebody asked Trump "when was America great?". 1955 is the time he's talking about.
