Would like to see an ads section for El Paso, TX.  This would also be useful for Las Cruces, New Mexico (about 45 mins away).  This site was great when I was in Colorado.  The only useful source here is backpage and it's riddled with scams.

How about Idaho and Alaska?

Based off of population a Northwest territory: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska

Would come to mind as one region

New England would be better than nothing anyway.

I hate to break it to you, but the Northwest Territory is comprised of: OH, MI, IN, IL, WI, and parts of MN as defined in 1787 by the Northwest Ordinance by the Congress of the Confederation.  It was reaffirmed in 1789 by the US Congress.  It's basically  the land NW of the Ohio River and E of the Mississippi River.

Right now on the Ad side you could post an Ad For Montana, but its not City specific....

BuT I would believe that those interested would get the point.

I would also like Chase to be able to post in Minneapolis.  ;)

If population matters, the Minneapolis / St. Paul metro area has 3.28 million people of the entire state of Minnesota has over 5 million.  If not that, then maybe "Upper Midwest" region would work.  The official US Census definition includes Michigan and Illinois, which have their own bustling populations and would probably muddy the waters.  But if you batched MN, the Dakotas, Iowa, and Wisconsin, that probably wouldn't be too bad. There's probably a name for that grouping out there somewhere.

Just thinking out-loud; The idea is Regions, to include bordering States into one Forum;

The 10 Most Populous States on July 1, 2014

State.....................Population

  1. California............... 38,802,500
  2. Texas .....................26,956,958
  3. Florida....................19,893,297
  4. New York................19,746,227
  5. Illinois.....................12,880,580
  6. Pennsylvania..........12,787,209
  7. Ohio........................11,594,163
  8. Georgia...................10,097,343
  9. North Carolina..........9,943,964
  10. Michigan...................9,909,877....

21.  Minnesota................. 5,489,594

22. Colorado.............      5,355,866 [ note; the original heart & soul  of TOB.... ]

35. Nevada .............       2,839,098 Changed to LVFever trying to generate a vacation vibe

40. Hawaii  ........... . .      1,419,561

51 .District of Columbia .. 658,893 My understanding it is considered Tysons Corner.

37. Nebraska................     1,881,503

50. Wyoming   ...................  584,153

Population number for a state to include neighboring states to make a region.  right now its about 10,000,000 -12,000,000. Once some of these regions become active we could break it down to States.

  • When I look at Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Utah, South Dakota, New Mexico calling Colorado their Home point you have about 12,000,000 total;
    •  I have spoken from members over the years from all these states that post on Colorado.

Going From that Logic I see;

  • Northwest Region Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska
  • Upper Midwest Region Minnesota, the Dakotas, Iowa,
  • Great Lakes Region Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin
  • North East region including NY / New Jersey
  • New England Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
  • The District of Colombia (DC) taking in West Virginia, Virginia.
  • Texas / Oklahoma
  • Florida
  • North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia
    • ---> note Georgia was mentioned  & was added as a state along with Louisiana.
  • California might include Arizona or Arizona & New Mexico could be a Southwest Region

When I look at Texas all the major cities are in close proximity to one another.

Nebraska the major cities would border more closely to Iowa. South Dakota the larger cities are closer to Minnesota....

Upper Midwest Region Minnesota, the Dakotas, Iowa,

Thanks for adding my area!  Now I have to figure out how to get the word out.  The main board out there will quash my post if it's about a competitor.

Michigan would be nice. Divided into regions like Southwest Michigan, Central Michigan, Upper Penisula, etc or by city (Grand Rapids, Detroit, Kalamazoo). Those three cities have enough business to have their own boards I think.

For now I went & added a---> Great Lakes Region; Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin.

As this or any other region populates with more members we can start breaking them down into States....

Thanks
