I cannot be the only one who slipped this morning in the snow! Can I?!? Where did this snow come from I wasn't aware it was 3ft deep- slipped backwards into an arm of a chair on my patio and face planted it 2 feet deep- someone come give me a massage - lol - I definitely am not used to the snow here

Welcome to Colorado! It has been known to snow here in December from time to time. I'm hearing stories from my co-workers about auto accidents and slips and falls too. Try to stay safe today!

Safety in the comfort of my Incall that has a garage. Looks like I'm staying until the snow passes. I'm not going to dare to even step foot out in it again 😬😬

I happen to love the snow! Being a native, this is the most beautiful time of year. It looks so nice and clean outside.

Driving in the snow is another story!  I stay off the road, to many people drive to fast for the conditions.

Ugh I'm used to warm weather. And I definitely was not expecting this- I was wearing these cheap flat boots and oh man! It's definitely time for me to invest in some snow boots! And I just got a RDX  & FYI it did terrible in the snow

Relax.  It generally melts in a couple of days tops.

It looks good today! My car isn't getting stuck anymore. So next time I'll be sure to stay at home for the day - my goodness i got stuck leaving my Incall in the garage! Well I was on the top floor and it didn't help that they didn't plow it at all!  Took me 45 min to rock my truck back and fourth to get it out. No way in hell I was getting out to push it haha! 😂😂

AA - Sorry you had a bad experience with your first snow in Denver - Just wait until the end of December and first of January - then the real cold hits us - better bundle up and get snow tires!  So where does the line start in offering messages with you?

Adalina,

The best thing you can do is get a decent pair of boots.

Nothing ruins a day like cold wet feet.

#2. Get some good snow/all weather tires for your car.

You'll be surprised at the difference they make.

Just be sure you know the limitations of your vehicle.

I remember back to the Christmas of '82 blizzard.

We had 3 ft. of wet heavy snow in 24 hours.

And the weather people didn't predict it.

Back about then, we had a spell where we didn't get above  0 degrees for about 4 days

and we didn't get over freezing (32) for almost a month.

I always keep 2-3 days of "emergency food" in the freezer.

In case I can't get out for a spell.

Now that I've thrown the "fear of God" at you,

enjoy Denver and Colorado. It's still the best place to be!

That storm brings back some flash backs. Lol.

Remember the closest store within walking distance was a 7-eleven, the people in the neighborhood bought every edible things on the shelves nothing left.

Also remember getting Tom Jackson of the broncos black Mercedes unstuck.

Well its over two days later and I still have 2 foot drifts in my horse runs.

Shoveling them out, I have developed a Hernia which I just scheduled surgery.

Most of all,  a very special lady's Christmas gift will have to wait.

Merry Christmas Mother Nature, you are a bitch.

BTW, I'm would like to be with BIT, 86 and sunny, Can I bring a couple of horses?

Welcome to Denver. We actually are the second sunniest state. Hope things get a lot better for you. It sounds like you have a nice positive attitude though. I'm bummed that I missed the massage. :)
